    At the Metro Court, Franco tosses Heather's painting aside and remembers how she ruined things for him with Carly. Diane passes Carly in the hall looking for Franco's room. Carly gives her directions and mentions it's time for her client to pay his bill. Diane compliments him on his physique when she finds him before breaking the news that he's being sued and his assets are frozen. He doesn't know how he's going to live so Diane suggests he sell Heather's striped painting. He admits it's not his and she encourages him to create more of his own art. He agrees…if she gives him $7,200 for supplies. Michael and Kiki wake up in the restaurant when the janitor shows up, commenting that newlyweds spend their night in the honeymoon suite. Kiki says, "He's not my husband." Alone, they can't believe what Sonny did. Michael's glad it's over but worries Kiki is having regrets. She isn't, but she's worried about Morgan and realizes she has no place to live. Michael invites her to move in. She's hesitant – what would people think? They have to do this right, she will go to her mom's first. He worries Ava might take advantage of her again. She won't let that happen, but Ava doesn't answer her phone when Kiki calls. Michael offers to get her a key to Ava's room and will help her get her stuff at Sonny's. Morgan and Ava wake up in her room and both accept that they did it. She wonders what Carly would think if she found him there when there's a knock on the door and Carly calls out. Ava begs Morgan to get dressed but he refuses to hide from his mother. Carly's not afraid to use her master key and comes in after Morgan's hidden. Carly blames Ava for Sonny's troubles and getting him off of his lithium. It's the reason he broke Morgan's heart and ruined the wedding party. Ava announces the marriage is over. Carly inquires how when there's a bang from the other room. Ava says it's nothing but Carly thinks she knows who it is…Franco. She wants him to have the guts to face her but is surprised when Morgan comes out. Carly grasps at straws hoping it's the same as when she found Michael with Brenda. It's not, so she attacks Ava for being a predator. Morgan confesses he wanted to sleep with Ava and refuses to leave. Carly promises he'll have a front row seat when Ava's thrown out. Alone, Morgan offers to stick by Ava as he undresses her. Shortly, Michael and Kiki walk in as they start having sex again. In the hall, Carly bumps into Franco while she's on the phone with hotel security.

    At the Metro Court, Carly and Felix wonder who's in Franco's room when Franco joins them outside his door. He doesn't want them to enter and Felix believes Franco has a prisoner in his room. Franco confesses it's a woman. Carly's angry but claims it doesn't matter to her since it's not like he would get a chance with her anytime soon. She says he can stay but he needs to provide a working credit card. She and Felix leave muttering about I told you so's. Franco brings Heather her BLT and asks her to leave for ruining his life. Carly now thinks he's a sleaze. Heather complains about the sandwich being pre-owned and cuts off the bitten part. She asks, "Who cares what Carly thinks?" She believes Franco dodged a bullet if Carly's not interested in him. Franco gets sappy dreaming about a normal life. Heather cheerily admits she still loves him.

    At the Metro Court, Franco's surprised to see Heather Webber. She talks herself into being invited in and he allows her to enjoy his birthday cake. Franco wonders how she got loose and Heather explains she has a system for sneaking in and out on special occasions. She announces she has his present. He doesn't know what to say when she gives him a painting of stripes and is ready to show her out the door. She refuses to head back to her cell until she gets what's rightfully hers, a BLT from Kelly's. They argue. He's certain she doesn't know who she's dealing with. She reminds him that he doesn't know who he's dealing with. Downstairs an employee confirms with Carly that Franco's suite is going to be comp'd. She confirms it will be indefinitely and remembers Franco blowing out his birthday candles. She bumps into Felix who wonders what has her on edge. She's excited to hear about his blind date. He's just happy he's getting himself out there and inquires if she's been with anybody since her night with AJ. She's upset when he jokes about her dating dangerous men. She claims she's not upset and is joking too but confesses she's helping Franco. Felix can't believe she's getting involved with that 'psycho'. He decides to help her confront the situation. Upstairs Felix knocks on Franco's door. Inside Heather knocks over a lamp. Felix yells thinking Franco's in there. Heather gets a knife while listening to Felix and Carly arguing in the hall. Franco arrives and demands to know what they're doing.

    At Kelly's, Vince believes Sonny will find out who he works for soon enough without him telling Shawn and Max. Shawn threatens to kill him if he doesn't tell them what they need to know. [Show preempted for national news update 2:14 PM to 2:18 PM EST in the middle of commercial break.] He offers to show Max how to work the deep fryer. Vince is eager to tell them what he knows when Shawn turns it on. They are interrupted by Franco's knocking. Shawn answers and gives Franco a sandwich box to get him to leave. Later, Vince is surprised they let him go. Max suggests he catch the next boat to Toronto for fear of his boss finding out that he gave up his name.

    Carly shows Franco to his room at the Metro Court and jokes maybe he can paint her something as payment. Franco hopes she can help figure out who is out to get him. He smells a rat and is certain Ava cut off his credit somehow. He repeats what he overheard in the lobby indicating Derek and Ava are keeping a secret. Carly agrees it's suspicious. Franco invites her to stay to celebrate his birthday. She's hesitant and reflects on Jason and how he hated birthdays. Franco will let her celebrate how she sees fit. Over cake he wishes Jason a happy birthday. Carly wishes Franco a happy birthday and he blows out the candles. He won't share his wish as it is something he wants very much. Someone sees Carly leave and knocks on Franco's door. He answers and says, "Oh my God."

    At the Quartermaine's, someone watches from outside as Franco wishes a picture of Jason 'happy birthday'. Monica comes in and puts Jason's picture back on the shelf. She calls Franco a killer and slaps him when he points out AJ killed Connie. She wants him to leave and threatens to have Alice show him out. Franco wonders what it would be like to go 'man-to-man' with Alice but agrees to leave on his own. Someone sees Tracy join Monica who's eager to share what she just saw. Monica knows it was Franco leaving and admits being responsible for kicking him out. Tracy wishes she was there to see it. She congratulates her and hopes she's also able to see AJ for who he is. Monica breaks down in tears. Tracy thinks his chances are good with Diane as counsel. Monica confesses she's been fired. Tracy points out they're family and gets on the phone to correct the situation while Monica looks at a picture of Alan.

    At the Metro Court, Ava overhears Derek getting off the phone with Alexis after promising to stop by the hospital later after he handles something minor. She notes to Derek that wiping Sonny Corinthos off of the face of the earth is not minor. He wants her to stay clear of the hotel but she admits that is now a problem since she's living there. Derek confesses he's already fired the first shot at Sonny. She's amused that he sent Sonny flowers and a condolence card. She's eager for them to strike now while Sonny is weak and has no patience while Derek moons over his long lost family. She threatens to deal with Sonny on her own. He pulls her close and reminds her not to take matters into her own hands. He doesn't want anyone to find out what they are up to. Franco interrupts that he's not anyone; they can tell him what they're up to. Ava introduces Derek as a client before he leaves. Alone Franco wants her to tell him what's really going on. She asks him to stop following her around and realizes he's been thrown out of the Quartermaine's, too. They share a laugh and she says goodbye before wishing him a happy birthday. Later all of Franco's cards are declined while he is checking in. Carly arrives in time to help.

    At the Quartermaine's, Tracy makes fun of Ava watching a celebrity news show. She's just as disappointed though when the announcer invites them to tune in after the break for news on Franco's trial. Ava's checking Twitter when Franco arrives and announces he's trending. Tracy's surprised all of the charges dropped. Franco pours some Champaign for him and Tracy to celebrate his homecoming. Ava feels left out. Franco makes it clear it is time for her to leave and asks her to pack her bags. Ava tries to manipulate the situation with what she knows. Franco is having none of it and confesses to Tracy that he poisoned everyone's relish. She's angry but he doesn't care about any of it, her, ELQ, or Ava. The truth is his heart belongs to someone else. He looks at Carly as she enters the room. Tracy's amused given Carly loves her murderers. Carly protests and drags Franco out of the room. Alone, Ava wonders if Tracy intends to let Franco kick her out. Tracy gives her an hour to pack and leave. In the next room, Franco questions if Jason is the only reason Carly cares for him and he's eager to prove himself to her. Outside, Michael apologizes to Kiki for behaving badly. He wants to be on Morgan's side instead of against him. Morgan meets them and is certain Sonny is better.

    At the courthouse, Diane produces Franco's brain tumor as evidence of his innocence. The prosecutor isn't interested but Diane thinks it's a miscarriage of justice to persecute Franco. She can state precedent. The prosecutor wants to go to trial to give Franco's victims a chance to be heard. Carly stands up and identifies herself as one of the victims. Under oath she confirms knowing Franco before and after his surgery. She hasn't witnessed any recent violent acts against anyone. She doesn't trust him in the presence of her children but notes his recent bouts with remorse and guilt before the surgery. She wonders if he chose to commit those crimes and if the tumor is a convenient excuse. Carly asks, "Does he have me fooled?" The judge will review for court tomorrow. Diane thinks Franco's going to Pentonville.

    At GH, Felix catches Sabrina after her and Patrick kiss. He points out how low Brad was to give a sperm sample for a promotion. Nearby, Diane Miller approaches Brad looking for something he's holding for her. She promises something extra for his troubles. He returns with her item and accepts an envelope of cash. He's close by when Sabrina wonders what's going on between Felix and him. Felix confesses they almost kissed. He promises not to buy into anymore of Brad's lies. She leaves as Brad responds to Felix that they weren't lies. Felix can't return his feelings after Brad conspired with Britt. Later Nikolas finds Brad and thinks it's time for him to man up. Franco's packing in his room when Carly arrives. He anticipates going to jail for the rest of his life as soon as he's released. She's not going to apologize for caring whether he lives or dies after saving his life. Patrick interrupts to examine him. Carly steps out and sees Elizabeth reading the headlines about Connie's shooting. She believes it's typical of AJ and is upset for Michael. Carly thinks they both needed to find out what kind of man AJ is. She rejoins Franco with Patrick. There are no complications and he's free to go. Alone, Carly thinks a jury might believe he's a changed man. Franco stops her from leaving and asks her to go with him to court. She's his only friend and he wants her to give her friend the serial killer a break. She agrees. Outside, a little boy wants to give Patrick a toy car as a thank you gift. He asks the boy to hold onto it. Sabrina overhears the mom hoping he has a son someday.
