    Carly hobbles into Franco’s hospital room and tells him that Michael and Morgan have been there for her. Franco promises Carly that she doesn’t have to force Michael to see him. Michael has earned the right to hate him and Franco won’t get in the way. Carly repeats something Franco said to her in the catacombs - "We’re going to make it." Franco also remembers telling Carly that he loves her but her not saying it back. He promises to keep being the person she can count on and maybe one day she’ll love him back. "I do love you," she says. They kiss.

    Kevin and Lucy are in the hospital elevator discussing the ball. He promises that he will be there for her this time. When the door opens, Franco is staring at them. He starts hurling insults at the shrink. Lucy wanders off and Kevin wheels Franco down the hall. The doctor apologizes but the conversation soon moves to Scott. Down the hall, Patrick looks glum. Lucy finds him and reminds him about the planning committee. She babbles about it until she notices Robin isn't around. He tries to walk away but she follows him. Finally, he tells her that Robin won't be there for the ball. She assumes this must be about Sabrina and then stutters about how things always work out between her and Kevin. Lucy heads down the hall and finds Kevin and Franco discussing Scott. They wonder where he is. Lucy changes the topic and then runs away. Kevin tells Franco they need to do more work. Franco tells him he should be more concerned about his wife and her interest in her ex.

    At the hospital, Carly sits by Franco's side and begs him to wake up. After she does some yelling, his eyes open. A doctor is called in. He tells Franco to rest and then leaves. Carly reminds Franco of what happened to him and tells him she's on his side. She suddenly gasps as she recalls that someone actually found her. Carly calls Dante over. She tells him about the two guys who came after her and knocked Luke out before dragging him away. The cop leaves. Carly rests her head on Franco and he tells her this is all his and his mother's fault. She just blames his mom and assures him he's nothing like Heather.

    Carly and Franco are wheeled into the hospital. They hold hands and are then separated. A doctor checks her over and she's fine. Carly's brother and mom show up to fuss. She says Franco saved her and worries about him. Lucas wanders off to get an update. When he peers into the trauma room, he sees doctors and nurses trying to restart Franco's heart.

    Michael and Morgan arrive at the hospital to see their mom. She fills them in about how Franco saved her. Lucas returns, looking flushed. He tells them Franco has stabilized but he's been brought to the OR. Carly wants to see him but Michael asks her to take care of herself. Lucas sits down in a chair. His mom starts quizzing him for looking pensive. He fills her in about his run-in with Julian. "It's obvious he can't accept me for who I am," he says. Franco is rushed down the hall. Carly manages to stop the gurney for a second and promises to wait for him. He's wheeled off.

    Franco enters the catacombs and finds Carly pinned under the rubble. He frees her in and grabs her in an embrace. She can’t walk so Franco lifts her up and promises her things will be fine. Heather arrives and begs to differ. Franco tells her she isn’t his mother. He screams that Susan is his mother and Alan is his father while Carly holds his face. He gently puts Carly down, then he grabs the knife. "Never bring a knife to a gunfight," Heather says. She shoots Franco. He then grabs the knife and stabs Heather in the foot. They struggle over the gun but Anna and Nathan arrive just then with guns drawn. Heather begs them to let her finish but Anna reads Heather her rights. Carly promises Franco he’s going to be okay. She begs him to stay with her as Heather cries for her son as she’s led off. Franco struggles to talk. He tells Carly he loves her and didn’t know what that would feel like until she taught him. He passes out as she yells that she loves him too.

    Detective West arrives at Metro Court. In Scotty's doorway, Franco's hidden while West tells Scott about the will he received which gives Dr. Clay motive for killing his wife. Scott suggests he give people the benefit of the doubt. That's what he's going to do. The cops arrive. They have a lead on Franco having been spotted at the hotel. Scott heads back inside and Franco gloats about his father lying for him. Scott searches the hall, concerned it's a matter of time someone finds him. He tells Franco to meet him at the park. Franco thanks his father and goes. West returns with the police and he allows them to search his room.

    Franco rushes in as Heather gets rid of the contractor's body.

    Franco arrives at Scotty's doorstep in disguise. Scotty tries closing the door in Franco's face but it's futile. Franco asks for Scotty's help in saving Carly. He explains he killed Heather and buried her because she was about to kill Carly. Scotty tries wrapping his brain around how Heather could still be alive after all this. Franco knows. "Next time, wooden stake," he says and brings up the note Heather left at the grave. The cops might have it. Franco asks Scotty to go to Miscavige and talk to Heather. Suddenly, Detective West shows up.

    Franco reads the note Heather left in her grave and freaks out. A widow, Mrs. McClain, approaches and asks him what he is doing disturbing the dead. He tells her he is the new gravedigger. She wonders why he was using his hands and he tells her tomorrow is shovel 101. She gives him the stink eye before slowly walking away.
