This year I think TG truly deserved the Emmy given the performances he gave during the Jake accident and the intervention aftermath. He was TRULY fantastic! There have been years before where he has won and only been on the show for a few weeks it seemed. |

Those years I truly thought the award should have gone to someone who was on a show full time..... especially since it was for LEAD actor. TG was making what I'd consider guest appearances at times. Congrats TG for a win well deserved!  I agree! There are times he and others win purely on name so I can see the other actors getting frustrated. But this wasn't that time. TG completely deserved it this yr. MM submitting himself is nothing. All the actors do it. And I think he was just saying others should have a chance. He might not know just how great TG was last yr. Question though: TG doesn't always submit himself does he? Seem I remember a few yrs he didn't like his work so wouldn't submit. Could be wrong though. |

This is just IMO but since Tony Geary has had the same role since the 1970 s and this is no. 7 award how is that too many awards for a role being played for over 30 years. How many times did he not win giveing others a shot at winning. While I am not saying some years he wasnt on screen much the point is he has played the role for about 34 years so 7 wins isnt an unfair amount ...still a lot of years for other actors to have thier shot at the award |

I think that his frustration(jealousy,perhaps?)was aboutthe Daytime Emmys needing to spread the wealth around and honor others,just as deserving,but who don't have the name recognition,that TG has. In that regard,IA. I think TG has won on name recognition alone,a few times. And,I think, that that's WRONG! The problem is that when he REALLY does deserve to win(as MAY have been the case,this year)and does win,it looks SO unfair,due to the other not-as-deserved, victories,in the past. JMO.  I can't begrudge MM his "frustration",too much,though. I,too,am getting tired of the usual suspects,winning.  Quite frankly,given HT's,now 4 WINS,I thought it unfair that SHE won,more so than TG. Again,JMO.
