Tomorrow marks one week since ABC cancelled two soaps in one day: All My Children and One Life to Live. Since then, a lot has happened. Mainstream media outlets have jumped on this storyline like Charlie Sheen on a coke wh*re, but few have really held ABC Daytime president Brian Frons accountable for his part in murdering two iconic soaps in cold blood; two shows which employ hundreds and hundreds of people.

And speaking of whom, these are some of the questions the mainstream media should be asking Frons during his media tour where he keeps proclaiming that his “research” indicates no one wants to watch soap operas instead of questioning his management.

1. Why didn’t you fight harder for Nielsen ratings reform?

2. Do you believe that the Nielsen ratings accurately determine who watches daytime TV?

3. Why is there still a disparity in PVR viewership? Primetime viewership is counted as live +7, while daytime is still live + same day. Doesn’t that seem unfair to you considering most soaps fans wait until the weekend to watch their stories because there are five episodes a week, while primetime, which has that extra luxury, only airs one episode a week?

4. Why did you keep hiring hack head writers instead of writers who loved the genre?

5. Did you think a Todd and Marty rapemance is what women wanted to watch on One Life?

6. Fans, critics, and actors despise the Rylee romance on AMC; why did you keep shoving them down your viewers’ throats? Did you think showcasing an unpopular front-burner romance was going to attract viewers?

7. If audiences demand reality and information, as your “research” attests, why did you fire the popular and realistic Kish coupling on One Life, along with various minorities and other social issue storytelling on the soap?

8. Why do you keep employing publicists with no new ideas, publicists who consistently lie to the press and fans, and refuse to help the media who actually want to provide a forum to promote ABC’s stories, characters and stars?

9. Earlier this year, you fired fan fave Becky Herbst, and broke up her uber-popular super-couple pairing opposite Steve Burton on GH last year. Do you run this network based on your personal taste and preferences — not your viewership? It’s too late but why didn’t you bring back iconic Genie Francis to GH? Oprah Winfrey saw the success inviting the Emmy winner on her titular talk show … and the ratings were great.

10. Why did you keep employing AMC executive producer Julie Hanan Carruthers when she is historically inept at bringing the show under or on budget despite handing her a lifeline (and not One Life) by moving the show to L.A.?

11. If soap operas are dying, why are serials exploding on primetime and cable? Perhaps daytime soaps are dying because people like you are in charge and refused to have them evolve like they have in nighttime. And anytime they tried to evolve, you stopped that growth.

12. Why haven’t you invested in the future of your shows by hiring new blood in all aspects of soaps — just like primetime, film, theatre and music have?

13. Were you planning on only cancelling One Life and not AMC but with AMC’s anemic ratings freefall, you didn’t have a choice?

14. Why would you cancel One Life when it’s making money, under budget, critically acclaimed, and doing well in the ratings?

15. Over the past year, you and your team of liars have denied, denied, denied that any ABC soaps would be cancelled or that AMC was moving to Los Angeles; how can we believe anything you say now, especially your reasons for cancelling the soaps?

16. Did you purposely destroy two iconic institutions because you have no clue what you’re doing and/or hate the genre secretly?

Moreover, I’d like to ask the soap community to speak out and get on board with these aforementioned campaigns because we can’t do this alone.

Other than Robin Strasser, Cat Hickland and Nancy Lee Grahn, too many soap stars are choosing to stay quiet during this do-or-die time.

Is Frons some kind of Hitler dictator or something?

Last time I checked freedom of speech still existed in America. Heck, that’s how that dumba$$ss Donald Trump can question President Obama’s origin of birth — and run for president.

It’s sad and ironic that since the cancellation rumours began last year, actors, writers, and producers were all too eager to refute rumours and attack those in the press for doing their job (and reporting the truth) despite it all coming true in the end. And now those actors are keeping mum.

What do you have to lose? What is ABC going to do? Cancel your shows?

Finally, I urge all soap fans to watch The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless — along with the final days of AMC and One Life — in order to support this genre and ensure its future.

Who has won the most popular couple in daytime TV??? Oh yes, that was LIASON, the couple he single-handed tried to break up - when that didn't stop the popularity... he fires the best and prettiest actress in soaps....... Well, that didn't work out too well - did it????? then our "man of the hour" kills the most popular 4 year old on Soaps......

Wise Choices???? I think now.........

I want my LIASON back, but does he have the "grit" to bring them back and save the soap????????
