KATHIE'S DAILY RAMBLE APRIL 17, 2012 Another very good episode. A whole lot happened. I love that the story moves so quickly but still, the end of the show always leaves you wanting more. And the thing I love the most is that they are not playing events right now, they are playing emotions and that is what soaps are all about. Ronnie is p!ssed that Delores is siding with her husband. And he is pretty p!ssed that Lulu has her doubts. He continues to bully everyone around him trying to make this case go away. Could it be more obvious? I am really starting to like Lulu. She did alot of backtracking today but she did not see Delores touch the phone and she wanted that to be clear. She tried to make things better for Delores but instead of just talking like she would have done under Guza, she listened and heard what she said. That started her doubts. Listening to Delores and Eddie pretty much sealed it for her that this case is not as sure as they thought it was. I like that she kept her mind open and that she did really seem to care about both Delores and her husband. Delores was actually good today. I was surprised. I did not know she had it in her but I actually felt both her pain and her outrage and her betrayal. Her marriage may not be a good one but it obviously still matters to her. The little I saw of Eddie, I liked. He was so angry at first but when he saw Delores, it looked like his heart broke thinking that she believed what was beung said about him. He seemed so sincere when he was pleading with her to believe him. Dante also seemed really uncomfortable about arresting Eddie. I think he may be less than sure as well. Either that or he felt bad for hurting his friend but I am not sure which. He came to court for Sonny and was one of the very few people sitting on his side. As much as I don't like Sonny, I think it was nice thing to do. Sonny didn't deserve it but it was still kind for Dante to do it. Starr is such a dickwad. I am tired of her resentment. I am tired of her screaming. I am tired of her threats. I am tired of her stupidity. And most of all I am tired of her face. She was packing and I was happy. Michael showed up and I know he is gonna screw this up for me. I liked that Michael was questioning Starr's motives but I was so disappointed in him sitting with her and siding with a newbie who might be using him over his family. And the way he ran on Sonny for that little idiot just p!ssed me off. I have realized if the choice is between Starr and Sonny, I could end up being the head cheerleader on Team Sonny. And the fact that Michael choose her just p!sses me off. I liked Johnny once again. Everytime that mindless Sonny opens his mouth around Johnny, my Johnny love goes up. I don't blame him for being pissed that Sonny is not going away. He thinks Sonny did it and more than that, he needs that sawed off little pimp out of his face. Carly actually went to Michael's and reminded him that she was having sex with Johnny when the murders happened. I find that hilarious. She was nice to Starr but I think she also gave the little troll some more reasons to keep up her pointless vendetta. She came into the courtroom and it felt almost like she sat with Johnny to spite Jason. It was very childish. I wish I felt like she did it because she cared about Johnny but that long look at Jason pretty much screwed that up. I was shocked that she accused Johnny since she is and has been his alibi. She is gonna end up losing everything and everybody at the rate she is going. Sonny was so completely unlikeable today that I am totally p!ssed that he got off. If he had gone up, we would have been rid of him and his even more annoying new nemisis, Starr. When he was talking to Kate, it was clear that he is still the same abusive bully he always has been. She was trying so hard to tell him something but he would not listen or let her talk. Instead he told her how she felt. He told her what was going on with her. He really didn't give a sh!t what was actually going on, he just told her how it worked for him and how it was all about him. He was also a complete and total prick to Johnny when he should have just been glad that he was free. Finally, he has decided that Jason is not the problem because he saw that Jason is not having temper issues. Even though Kate herself admitted it wasn't Jason, throwing his bestie under the bus was how things were working in the world according to Sonny because dealing with the fact that his girlfriend might have problems might get in the way of him focusing on his all encompassing obsession, himself. Kate tried to tell her story but she is such a Sonny asslicker that she let him talk over her for way too long. I did like that she was clear that it was her and not Jason who was the problem even though Sonny didn't listen to her. Watching her in court though, I felt like I was watching a zombie movie the way she was staring so lifelessly until the verdict was read. Now that it is over and they are back at Castle Greyskull, I will bet that she doesn't tell Sonny anything about Connie. Although, it will be more fun if tomorrow Connie comes popping out and tells Sonny to go screw himself. John is starting to feel like a stalker. Worse, a stalker who dispenses platitudes to his stalkee. I am starting to get why he is always there when Sam turns around. It is over kill and the Port Charles sign behind them tonight annoyed me as someone who was not a fan of Port Charles and is tired of the inside joke. But I digress, he is there because his story is similar to Jasam. IT is similar but very different. Sam was raped and is trying to find a way to tell the truth while doing the least possible damage. Natalie cheated and lied cause she wanted to keep the guy. But John talking to Sam about it, is not only giving her POV but also giving her a weird combination of hope and fear that is driving her choices right now. Hope because Jolie did reunite and are raising their child, fear because John took a long time to get over Nat's lies and also because the baby was John's. I get that he is trying to help, but I think the best thing he could do for Sam is back so that she has to talk to Jason instead of being available so she can put it off. Steve is still stupid and dull. I hope that taking responsibility for Heather and then letting her run amock while feeding her BLTs has some reprecussions for him. Heather really doesn't know when to quit. She is trying to use the family connection to his mother to reel Jason in. Thing is, Jason's mother is Monica as far as he is concerned. I am wondering how far she was going to go in telling Jason what happened since I can't see her selling Franco sitting well with Steve or Jason. There was an interesting visual tonight as Heather tried to control the situation through her bullying and indignation. That was the moment she was standing between two more powerful forces in Jason and Alexis and she was defeated in her plans. I wonder about the way that scene was laid out since I think that making an enemy of either of them is dangerous even for her wacky ass, making an enemy of both could be the end of her altogether. She is still fun though and she is definitely a catalyst. This is gonna be a wild ride. Alexis rocks. I loved her coming out, shutting Heather up and taking Jason with her like Heather was not even worth her notice. It was fun seeing Heather try to stay ahead of Alexis. I love her in court, first telling Sonny to stay out of trouble and then telling Johnny to get back to doing Sonny's ex. She was in rare form and is back to being the smart, tough woman she was before she was Sonnified and Guzafied and I love her.
