KATHIE'S DAILY RAMBLE (D&T) APRIL 16, 2012 Today was an exciting and intense episode. With only one exception, I was interested in and cared about everything that happened today. And I don't think anyone has to think hard to come up with what I don't care about. Starr is just boring and I don't give a flying fig about her pain or her donuts. I wish she would go the hell home. McBain was so reasonable while talking to Starr and he was lying through his teeth since he is obviously still on a quest for vengeance himself. I also find that I don't care about him at all in scenes with Starr. It isn't OLTL and I have no interest in watching their characters interact with each other and talk about what is going on their town. Well, to be honest, I have not interest in her at all but I do like watching McBain interact with the GHer's. Especially Anna and Alexis who he has great banter with. They really glammed Lulu up didn't they? She reminded me of more of Mary Astor in the 40s film noir than a girl from this millenium working at a police station. I think she was genuinely concerned about Delores but she also seemed pretty freaking uncomfortable when Dante and Roniie took off and left her there with her. Dante tried to be reasonable and let Delores know that the evidence was pointing at her husband and it almost worked, but when she pulled out her keys, I thought he was going to pee his pants and that kinda took away from the sympathetic friend aspect of the whole thing. Ronnie acts so indignant about the batterer but he is also willing to put away anyone at all for the crime. I wonder if he was the one who found the photos. Delores was actually somewhat interesting today as she defended herself and her husband. It was actually weird to see so much life from her. I hate to say this. I hate to say this. I hate to say. But I am totally loving Olivia's snark. Introducing Heather into her story is making her kinda fun. Maybe while Heather makes her tea, she can whip her up some pasta primevera. Why does Ewen just seem so awkward all the time? The only time he seems to relax even a little is with Liz and even then he is still kinda stiff. He is superawkward with Kate though and he was better with Olivia and they even have a little chemistry but he is just hard to watch. Is he supposed to seem afraid of his patients? Michael was caught and that is why he told the truth but I am glad he did. I was really wishing he would inform Sonny that since he and not Sonny is paying the rent, Sonny doesn't get to say who can be there. At least I think he is paying the rent even though I am not sure he still has a job. I also like that he is being more sensible than either of his parents. He is helping Starr because he feels a kinship but he heard Sonny and, always smarter than his parents, asked Starr if she was using him. More credit to him. He will have a total win now if he lights a torch and drives her right out of his home and town. Steve used to be boring. Now he is dumb and boring. Heather has not helped his character at all. I hope Jason knocks him out once he finds out how Heather has been torturing Sam. I also hope that Olivia dumps his dumb, boring ass since he is choosing to keep a crazy threatening person in his world and by extension, hers. Heather is so over the top and such fun. I saw her do that fight with Steve and run through the hospital crying thing back in 2004. I think she stole drugs that time. I am pretty sure she messed with the paternity test this time since she thought that Sam told Steve about her. I was shocked that she actually chased Jason outside. He is someone she avoided in the past and I would think she would be smart enough to continue to avoid him now. I do have fun watching her though. She has more guts and balls than anyone on the show since Jerry fell into the harbor. Wouldn't it be fun if he came back and they got together? Sonny deserves to take a good hard fall. He thinks he has the right to tell Michael how to feel and who to talk to based on how they feel about him, not Michael. He really does think the world revolves around him. He was nicer to Michael than I expected since he didn't start to yell or anything but I still think he is too pushy and self-involved. And I really want Jason to just leave him to fend for himself. He crazy-ass girlfriend keeps attacking Jason and then Sonny attacks again when Jason tries to talk about it. And unlike Sonny who wants to tell people who they can be with, Jason just wants him to find out what is up with Kate so he can help her. He is an ungrateful, head up his ass, loser creep and I hope that he takes a long hard fall for his own stupidity and his stupid dumb blindness. Kate is still pathetic. Connie may take over her life permanently and all she is worried about is Connie screwing things up between her and Sonny. Sadly, she has no rooting value whatsoever. Connie has all the rooting value. At the same time, Kelly Sullivan is knocking it out of the park and watching Kate go crazy is totally riveting. I loved Alexis today. The character has been totally restored. I loved how she is worried about Sam and she is even worried about Jason. She wants to know what is happening and I don't think she buys Sam's story for a minute. I also thought she not only gave her good advice about John being a threat to Jason but I love how she then apologized for going into lawyer mode. I also felt for her when she said that Sam would rather share with a stranger than her. And she was right. Sadly, she let Heather and Steve distract her just when she had finally gotten through. I think she should have ingored Steve and slapped that restraining order right in that crazy b!tch's BLT since ball-less Steve is never going to give it to her. I liked her saying good-bye to Sam with an I love you alot. Now if they will just give her a man, I will be one happy Alexis fan.
