The haters hate Liz because they know she has a special place in Jason's heart and she has since '99! As a Liason fan I have never felt threatened by Sam at all, I think Jason went back to her because he felt he didn't deserve or couldn't protect Liz.
Liz is one awesome she is a fighter and survivor! Its why she has been my favorite GH lady since she joined the canvas 15 years ago!
That right there is how I feel. I have never been much more then bored by Sam as a Liason fan. The only time Jason is with her is because she is there. Once their relationship requires the least amount of work they both leave.
I believe he has feelings for her and even loves her but there is no passion, no need. To me their relationship is all about convenience. She was always there in all the dangerous situations Jason was in, flaunting her skimpy clothes and chasing after him so why not go the relationship route again. He is going to have to worry about her without the perks so why not convince himself he wants the relationship
I will admit I was a fan of Jasam the first time around BUT after there breakup and all the things that were said and done there is no way I could ever like them together again. Same goes for LL2 back in the 98-99 era, I floved them with a passion but after Lucky "died" and all the things that happened after that there was no fixing that train wreck.
I think that they were forced back together after Liason's break up and I think it shows in there on screen chemistry or lack there of. They have grown flat and boring, they have to force some angst to make them interesting. Even with all that is going on I do not find them interesting, I am finding McBam interesting and Liason
when I read the first line I was like *GASP!* I two was a fan of LL2 back then but same with you when Lucky "died" that relationship died too

I loved the ending, one of the best in a long time. I loved loved loved how jason stayed to snarl at John totally ignoring the fact 'his wife' went to the hospital and was traumatized. john reminded him a number of times. THEN jason finally goes to the hospital and leaves with Liz - it was fantastic and spoke volumes and what is really in Jason's soul. Sam who?
Liz and Jason leaving GH together felt like a definate sign of end game to me as well. Perhaps I'm delusional but I am VERY HAPPY with what has been happening. Liz and Jason may at this point only be friends and stay friends for awhile but the fact that there are bottomless cracks forming in the so called jasam relationship makes for enjoyable viewing. This disaster will slowly crumble into a long overdue end.
I look forward to seeing Liz and jason eventually rekindle the romance and depth that has always been there. jason doesn't look at anyone like he looks at Liz. happy sigh

Same here. Even now, I don't hate Jasam. I just happen to like Liason a whole lot more.

See...great minds thinks alike How perfect was the the fact that Jason and Elizabeth, two characters who are the descendants of everything that is GH are walking together, out of GH, past the GH sign? For some reason, I expected to find a CGI shot of Steve Hardy and Lila Quartermaine watching their grandchildren together as they went to visit their great-grandchild (who, BTW, I'm not entirely convinced is truly dead).

Great post! I am glad I am not the only one who was reading into the ending scene with Liason! I too do not believe that Jake is really gone and Liason will be reunited with Cake!
