But, what you said about TPTB keeping fanbases happy. I recently found out from someone who works in the indsutry that it is and has always been a misguided assumption.
TPTB and especially RC when he writes is more focused on the show and his stories and what soapy drama and reaction he can get than worrying about fanbases.

The way I see it, it might or might not happen. The might happen is because I think Liz has been written too perfect and saintly lately and I have a niggling suspicion that there is a reason RC is writing her this way. RC loves his TWISTS so yeah, I can believe it.

But then again, I can also see RC leaving Liz the way she is now. And if this is the case, it also shows that he does not care for the character of Liz at all, and just leave her as a filler character, giving advise, and supporting (if you can call it that) the main characters (in this case Jason) in their stories, pulled out twice a week.

But like you, I will wait and see

I just think that RC see the Liz character tied to Lucky's and I really hope for Liz fans that JJ returns because I truly believe that is when her story will start and it will be angsty (because that's the way RC writes). I have heard rumors that JJ will be back for a short stint and then for the finale. But who knows at this point. If I do hear anything, I will let you know.

HNY has said that RC drafted two Lucky returns. One for the short stint which will be more of a Luke/Lucky story and with some Liz, and then the finale is heavy LnL2 focused.

Quite a few Jasammers are actually LnL2 fans (before Jasam because Sam was not on the show then) - DorA, EdgeofDesire, Crazy and SamandLiz(SaL).

I think I've mentioned before, it could be something as simple as maybe Liz reading wrong and misunderstanding Jason's actions, and being embarrassed about it, so she covers up by lying to Jason to save her pride, and then it's over, and that's it. Sometimes spoilers (legit or fake) are way overblown and twisted to get reactions out of fans.

I've been enjoying her more lately but I'd like to see her get her own story as well. And while I've been fine with the Liason friendship scenes and I'm totally cool with that continuing, I don't want them writing her as chasing after Jason, because it just doesn't flatter her character, IMO.
