Kathleen Gati celebrates the birth of first grandchild image

General Hospital star welcomes new family member.

Soaps.com congratulates "General Hospital's" Kathleen Gati (Port Charles' Dr. Liesl Obrecht) on the birth of her first grandchild, Miles. Gati, who joined "GH" in 2012, was born and raised in Canada by Hungarian immigrants. Her father was a symphony conductor and her mother an opera singer. In 2012 Gati married Michael Browers. The couple has been together for ten years. Gati's character Dr. Obrecht is always a fan favorite at the General Hospital Nurses' Ball due to her over the top performances. In addition to "GH," Kathleen Gati appears on AMC's Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 and also starred in the horror short Lifeline. She also played Taffy Winslow on "All My Children."
