New show debuting June 2017.
Updated June 9: Though Soaps.com cannot report any character details for Rick Hearst's "Daytime Divas" role, we have learned he'll first appear on the VH1 series on June 12 in the episode titled "Coma Bump" at 10:00 PM.
Back on October 18, 2016 "General Hospital's" Rick Hearst (Port Charles' Ric Lansing) revealed on Instagram that he's booked a role on the upcoming VH1 show "Daytime Divas."
Hearst's role on the show has yet to be revealed. The show is based on the book Satan's Sisters by Star Jones which is set behind the scenes of a long-running daytime television show and chronicles the fireworks that erupt daily between the five female co-hosts. On screen, they are best friends with five very different points of view, but behind the scenes, they inhabit a world of power struggles, cat fights and cocktails. The show stars Vanessa Williams ("Ugly Betty") as Maxine, the creator and host of the popular talk show "The Lunch Hour." Joining her are Tichina Arnold (“Survivor’s Remorse”), Chloe Bridges (“The Carrie Diaries”), Camille Guaty (“Scorpion”) and Fiona Gubelmann (“Wilfred”) as the co-hosts on the fictional daytime series.
The show is filming in Atlanta, where Hearst relocated to a few months back. Recently Rick Hearst landed a role on Vampire Diaries. He last appeared on "General Hospital" on July 21 when his character Ric questioned Liz about her relationship with Franco.
