Honoring United States Veterans.
As part of ABC's "Home For The Holidays" campaign, "General Hospital" plans to feature a U.S. Veteran in an upcoming storyline. ABC's Primetime series intends to feature veterans in cameo roles or as part of a storyline ("Modern Family" and "Last Man Standing") and one veteran will shadow a director on "The Neighbors." Other shows supporting the efforts with themed episodes during the holidays are "The View" and "The Chew."
The campaign kicked off this week in an initiative to feature five digital short films and give five talented U.S. Veterans interested in the entertainment industry the opportunity to be mentored while the five movie shorts are played out. There is no word yet on the intended storyline or air date for the special feature in Port Charles but viewers will still be able to see the traditional welcoming of our veterans home with greetings from ABC stars and hear the official anthem of "Home For The Holidays," "Celebrate Me Home," covered by the seven-time Grammy award-winning group, Lady Antebellum.
