Singing for a cause.

Two-time Port Charles resident Kiko Ellsworth (ex-Stan, "GH", Jamal, "Port Charles") is doing something new. The actor has recently been cultivating his musical talents and is releasing his debut CD, "The Great Awakening," next month. The album will be released on iTunes. He is currently reaching out to fans for help funding it. Ellsworth is seeking $20,000, but this will be split three ways. One third will go to competing the recording and the rest will be given to the charities Safe Passage and Operation Skid Row. Check out his video message for more of what he has to say.

Ellsworth got in touch with and gave us this statement about his projects:

"As I step onto my life purpose my whole life is aligning with it. For over 5 years I've been a part of Safe Passage charity where we transform the lives of women and children affected by domestic violence. Initially I started by teaching the women and their children empowerment self defense but have taken a more integral part of the non-profit with the new year. We have a Soulfully Exciting Event coming up on February 1 at Rain nightclub in studio city where they are the beneficiaries of 100% of the profits along with Operation Skid Row. There's a building excitement within me to be able to share some of my songs off of my debut album. If each of my songs inspires 1 person to align with their path or empowers someone to keep moving forward then it will have served its purpose. There's such an array of songs on this album that there is something for everyone. I would love to see you as we celebrate this very special night. We have some amazing groups performing some uplifting and inspirational music. Saint Tone who've performed for President Obama, the world famous DJ Nocturnal, comedian Zo Johnson, celebs and many other special guests coming thru. All for one purpose...Love."
