    * On February 5, Claire Mills will appear as Gloria, who brings her son Jimmy, played by Declan Beaty, to the hospital.

    * Constance Towers will be bringing Helena back just in time for February sweeps!

    * In an interview with Soap Opera Weekly, head writer Robert Guza indicated a return by Vanessa Marcil (Brenda) and Genie Francis (Laura) in 2010 is a definite possibility. As he stated, "Nothing is definite yet. Of course, we'd always love to have them back, but at this point, it's still a work in progress. We definitely want them, so stay tuned for 2010."

    * Gavin Houston will play new cop Sly Houston beginning January 13.

    * Alex Hill portrays car accident victim Dean starting January 20.

    * Bubba Dean Rambo plays a doctor in scenes with Olivia and Claudia on September 15.

    * A Metro Court guest, played by L.B. Zimmerman, interferes with Sam’s investigation on September 4.

    * Anthony Michael Jones reprises his role of Father Coates for Maxie and Spinelli’s wedding starting September 24.

    * Victor J. Ho will also appear in some of the wedding scenes on September 24.

    * Olivia interacts with Dr. Kertz, played by Jeff Lewis, on September 24.

    * Sam and Spinelli investigate Edward’s friend, Deidre, played by Valerie Wildman (ex-Fay, Days of Our Lives) on September 3 and 4.

    * As the carnival hits town, so do its workers. Irene Roseen will portray fortuneteller Ramona on September 4 and 8.

    * Chikezie Eze, a former “American Idol” contestant, recently tweeted about an upcoming appearance on GH. “Ugh I had my first session with a personal trainer... Gotta look good for General Hosptial!!!!!” He went on to tweet that he will be taping in mid-September and that he will be singing!

    * Martha Byrne will end her run as the mayor’s wife, Andrea, the beginning of September.

    * Kristina and Michael run into a few problems with tourists Allison and Chad, played by Molly Beucher and Derek Craigle on August 27 and 28.

    * Kelly Monaco has reportedly re-signed with GH for another year.

    * Jessica Rey (ex-White Ranger, "Power Rangers: Wild Force") plays Marita, who meets Michael at the resort he and Kristina stay at on August 17.

    * The new Assistant District Attorney, played by Cara Pifko, will show up again on August 11.

    * Rick Marcus plays Jerry’s henchman who is guarding Michael and Kristina’s door on August 10 and 11.

    * Steve Burton has re-signed with General Hospital where he will continue to play mobster Jason Morgan.

    * Davin Ransom will take over the role of Spencer Cassadine beginning August 13. The young actor will also be seen in the upcoming film, “Iron Man 2.”

    * Leslie Charleson has signed on to play Monica Quartermaine for another year.

    * Brian Norris will play a cop who slows down Jason and Sam on their way to find Michael and Kristina on July 31.

    * Amy Castle (ex-Viki, Passions) played the part of Tara, the girl on Keifer’s lap, on the July 20 episode.

    * Assistant District Attorney, Louise Addison, was played by Cara Pifko on the July 10 episode and is on recurring status.

    * Greg Vaughn's status has not changed as he stated (in all caps) on Twitter, "I HAVE NOT BEEN PUT ON RECURRING STATUS!!! BUT, IT FEELS LIKE IT! HAHA"

    * Christian Alexander will continue to play Kristina's friend Kiefer, who punched Michael at Jake's, on a recurring basis.

    * In a recent Soaps.com interview with Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), the actress stated she would be taping scenes with Megan Ward (Kate) on July 13 for future episodes. Keep an eye on the GH News Room for the full interview!

    * Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) has been officially placed on contract! With her son Dante now in town and her red-hot affair with Johnny heating up, it seems Lisa will definitely have her plate full.

    * Watch out Port Charles! Anthony Zacchara, played by Bruce Weitz, is returning on July 10.

    * Alexis Pullos joins the cast as an older version of Ric and Alexis' daughter Molly in early July.

    * Lexi Ainsworth, who just started as the SORASed Kristina, has been placed on contract with General Hospital.

    * The truth about Rebecca may finally be revealed, as Helena, played by Constance Towers, returns to Port Charles to confront Emily's look-a-like on June 4.

    * Scott Damian’s Fredo interacts with Jason on May 29.

    * Rick Hearst’s last day as Ric Lansing will be on July 17. However, you can still catch the actor on B&B!

    * Although Tony Geary takes a long summer vacation every year, viewers will miss him less in 2009. He's been pre-taping episodes that will air into June and will return by mid August.

    * Older Morgan has been cast! He'll be played by Aaron Refvem who has appeared on "Grey's Anatomy" and "Two and a Half Men". Aaron will debut in early summer.

    * Also filled is the roled of strong-willed sixteen year-old Kristina. Lexi Ainsworth, ("iCarly" and "Gilmore Girls") will appear in early summer.

    * Emma Samms' highly anticipated May sweeps two-week visit begins on May 15. It's been three years since she last appeared in Port Charles.

    * Martha Byrne (ex-Lily, As the World Turns) has been cast as Mayor Floyd's wife. She will begin taping in mid-May and her recurring role is open-ended.

    * It's time, yet again, to cast Dante Falconeri.The role is set to start shooting in June with a first air date in July. See related story here.

    * There's a casting call out for an older Morgan. He needs to have dark hair and appear to be 12 years old. The new actor will debut in early summer.

    * Another casting call has gone out for strong-willed sixteen year-old Kristina. The new character will appear in early summer.

    * There are no immediate plans for Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) to come to town even though she has ended her time on Style Network's "How do I Look?".

    * Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio) will be on a three-week vacation when her character goes for help with PPD.

    * Head Writer Bob Guza just signed a new six-month contract and his wife, Meg Bennett, is now on staff writing dialogue.

    * The show is currently casting for real-life women who have personal experience with PPD.

    * Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing) and Megan Ward (Kate Howard) have been taken off contract and are now on recurring status. The word is that they will still be a big part of the show, however.

    * The role of Robin's therapist, Dr. Brown, is being played by Amy Hill.

    * Sebastian Roche (Jerry Jacks) returned on April 7 and is departing on April 24. FYI, his stint on Fox's "24" didn't last long because his evil character was killed. He has already finished shooting his 'eight or nine episodes' according to Sebastian Roche in an interview with with Soaps.com's Julie Clark Robinson.

    * Also coming back for a brief visit is Constance Towers as evil Helena Cassadine. Her first air date is April 13 and she reportedly is very happy with her first scene!

    * Senta Moses (and Winifred Leeds!) will be around, "through April and beyond," according to ABC.

    * Actor Steven Moreti shares on his MySpace page that he is up for a role General Hospital this summer. He's worked on "Heroes", "Journeyman", "Charmed" and many other TV shows.

    * Dylan Cash has officially been replaced by Drew Garrett in the role of Michael Corinthos Jr. Drew's first air date will be April 24, but he (Michael) won't actually come out of his coma until May. Welcome!

    * It looks like con artist Ethan Lovett will be sticking around! Actor Nathan Parsons has gone on contract!

    * Dylan Cash has officially been replaced by Drew Garrett in the role of Michael Corinthos Jr. Drew's first air date will be April 24, but he (Michael) won't actually come out of his coma until May. Welcome!

    * Guess who's coming back for May Sweeps? Holly Sutton (played by Emma Samms). It's been three years since she last appeared. Holly (and Emma!) will first appear in May and her visit is open-ended.

    * Constance Towers will reprise her deliciously evil character, Helena Cassidine, beginning April 13.

    * Tony Daly will play a handsome carpenter opposite Robin (Kimberly McCullough) starting on March 18.

    * Look for an older and smarter-mouthed Michael Corinthos to wake up soon! The role is currently being re-cast with top criteria being 'rebelious'.

    * Another casting call has gone out for strong-willed sixteen year-old Kristina. The new character will appear in May. (Morgan and Molly get to remain kids for the time being!)

    * Casting for the role of Dante has been put on hold.

    *Two newcomers will first be seen on Friday, March 6. They are coffeeshop owner Ralph (played by Louis Giambalvo) and a femme fatale named Cassandra (played by Erin Cahill). Both are short-term roles.

    *NASCAR driver Jeff Burton will appear in a scene with Patrick Drake on March 18. For more details click here!

    *Bruce Weitz (who plays Anthony Zacchara) wrapped up his two-year stint on March 2. The actor has said that he would return any time he is asked him to.
