Biography

Although born in Cleveland, Ohio, Sean Kanan (born Sean Perelman), was raised in Newcastle, Pennsylvania. Sean attended both Boston University and UCLA, and earned a degree in Political Science.

Sean broke into show business in "Karate Kid II," in which he nearly died performing his own stunt work. He went on to make a name for himself in Daytime television, starring in three soap operas over the years (Y&R will be his fourth). Sean also writes and produces in the entertainment industry.

Sean once worked as a bouncer at his father's bar in Boston, and loves baseball. Sean shares a daughter, Simone, with former B&B castmate Gladys Jiminez. He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Michele, and their five children.
