He briefly took on the role of Lucas Jones on "General Hospital" before moving on to film and Primetime roles like "The Closer," "CSI: NY," "CSI: Miami," "Saving Grace," "Samantha Who?," "Bones," "NCIS," and "Rizzoli & Isles."

Science fiction fans will recognize Carnes from the British drama "Doctor Who," as well as the Syfy TV mini-series "The Phantom."
