Biography

Robin Mattson was born on June 1, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. Before becoming a soap opera staple, Mattson appeared in plenty of films and had secured guest spots on classic television shows like "Flipper," "Gentle Ben," "Daniel Boone," "Barnaby Jones," "Dukes of Hazzard," "The Incredible Hulk," "The Six Million Dollar Man," "Marcus Welby, MD," and "Happy Days," starting from the time she was 7. Her first soap opera role was Hope Bauer Spaulding on "Guiding Light" in 1976.

When she's not acting, Mattson loves to cook. In 1997 she co-authored Soap Opera Cafe: The Skinny on Food from a Daytime Star and from 1996-1997 she hosted the Lifetime cooking show, "The Main Ingredient." She was married to director Ray Manzella from 1978-1994, and has been married to former soccer player Werner Roth since 2005.
