Biography

Born in London, England, as Emma Samuelson, she trained as a ballet dancer at the Royal Ballet School, but after a hip injury was forced to quit. She decided to become an actress and changed her name to Emma Samms.

Emma began playing Holly Sutton on General Hospital in 1982, but left in 1985. She returned from 1992 to 1993 and then made another appearance in 2006. Her most recent reappearance came in 2009.

In between her stints on GH, she played Fallon Carrington Colby on “Dynasty” and then on the spin-off “The Colbys.” Samms also made an appearance on the TV series “Models Inc.” and in 2003 returned to England and appeared in the BBC series “Holby City” and “Doctors.” In 2006, she participated as a hairdresser in the BBC reality series “Celebrity Scissorhands” and in 2007 guest starred on the ITV series “The Bill” as Ella Winstanley.

Emma has been married three times, has two children and currently lives in England.
