Biography

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Barbara attended Wayne State University and then went on to receive her masters in Theater from the University of Michigan. She then received a Fulbright Grant to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Later, she moved to New York where she landed roles in theatre productions of "Landscape & Silence," "Water Engine" and "Brighton Beach Memoirs." Aside from her recurring role on General Hospital, Barbara has appeared in the TV series "ER" and "Cold Case" and in the movies "Walking Tall" and "Journeyman."

In addition to to acting, Barbara has written a children's show called "Who Am I," a one-woman show called "Changes" and the novel "Stopping By." She is also a director and an acting coach.
