Family learns that Alice is dying, Stefano informs Kate of his scheme to get back a video Madeline’s holding, and Stephanie learns she’s not pregnant.
Nathan wakes up in bed to Stephanie happily telling him she’s not pregnant. Relieved, they start kissing.
At Maggie’s, she and Julie discuss how there has been no change with Gran. Hope arrives and learns Alice has been responding less and less. She hasn’t been the same since Mickey died. Maggie cries and Julie hugs a shocked Hope. Gran’s slipping away. They reminisce going to Gran with their troubles. She’d make them a pot of tea and listen. Maggie makes tea and remembers advice Alice gave her about trusting in Mickey’s love. Maggie calls Nathan to fill him in and he promises to drop by as he stares at his great grandfather’s medical bag. Hope goes to talk to Bo. After she leaves, Julie and Maggie groan. Why aren’t Bo and Hope together? It’s obvious she’s still in love with him. Julie is upset that Evelyn Harrower, Alice’s oldest college friend can’t come to see Alice and flashes back to being a teenager and thanking Gran for everything. They agree that Gran raised them all.
At the DiMera mansion, Stefano tells Kate how Madeline is driving him nuts. He hates that she hyphenates her name and is annoyed that she threatened to release the tape if he doesn’t stop Will’s friendship with Chad. He’d like to kill her and says they need to destroy that tape. Kate thinks it’s a waste of time to search for it but Stefano refuses to let this go. He’s going to retaliate. He makes a move on his chess board and tells Kate there’s a safety deposit box in a bank in Salem that is in Madeline’s name. It hasn’t been opened in years. Stefano thinks they can disguise Kate and have her take care of everything! Her reaction is an emphatic no!
At Cheatin’ Heart, Madeline tells Chad that she took care of payment for the bar for his graduation party but there’s to be no underage drinking. Will arrives and Madeline’s unhappy he’s attending. Will goes off to help with the party and Chad says Madeline’s wrong about Will, who isn’t part of the DiMera family. She worries Will could be influenced by them. Chad could care less and tells her to relax. It’s a party. Nearby, T tells Will that Chad’s mom is hot – a real bobcat. Will doesn’t think of her that way. Chad overhears and they discuss the photo of Kate and Madeline, who looked like best friends. Chad says if they were it’s all over now. Later, Madeline leaves and Chad and Will decide to do some sleuthing and find out what that photo of Kate and Madeline was about.
At the hospital, Carly hangs up on a call with Bo and Melanie asks why Carly was arguing with Chloe. Philip comes upon them and overhears. Carly says last night put everything into perspective and that Chloe and Daniel are having problems but it should stay with them. She leaves and Melanie brings Philip up to speed. Mel tries to look at Chloe’s chart but Philip reminds her it’s none of her business. Melanie leaves and Carly returns. Philip talks to Carly and realizes she knows something, when she says she thinks Melanie needs to back off.
In her room, Chloe wakes up and tells Daniel she has ruined everything. He tells her to calm down and examines her. She asks why he’s there. He replies he showed up when Carly asked to see him and Chloe worries about what she wanted. Carly walks in and says she called because she thinks they’re rushing marriage. Daniel leaves and Carly encourages Chloe to stop damaging herself and tell the truth about Philip.
In the waiting room, Stephanie brings up Victor and Vivian’s wedding but Caroline doesn’t want to discuss it. Steph says Nathan’s ‘the one’ and she’s not proud of trying to trap him. She assures Caroline she’s not pregnant. Caroline gets a call from Doug about Gran and tells Steph she has bad news.
Nearby, Daniel admits to Philip and Melanie that he doesn’t think he could lose another loved one. Melanie notices Daniel hasn’t eaten and heads to the pub.
Philip goes into Chloe’s room and Chloe says Carly knows their secret, too. He urges her to keep it a secret. Daniel walks in and asks what he wants to be kept a secret.
Theo and Abe arrive at Bo’s place. Theo helps Ciara search for her lunchbox while Bo finds the divorce papers and tells Abe Hope pushed for it. Later, Ciara tells Theo that she saw her mom hugging a man who wasn’t her daddy. He took the treasure from her backpack. Theo is incredulous. They’re interrupted by Bo and Abe who send them out to play. Bo discusses his concerns about Ciara and they contemplate the downfall of Bo’s marriage. He thinks it’s finally over but Abe doesn’t believe it. Later, Bo flashes back to telling Gran that he planned on spending the rest of his life with Hope and Shawn D. Hope lets herself in with her key and starts to cry. Bo holds her as she tells him Gran’s dying. Bo is visibly shaken. As they’re hugging, Carly walks in.
Nathan arrives at Maggie’s place. He tells her that Gran thought he was Tom. Maggie cries but is glad Gran thinks she’s with him.
Melanie finds a shocked looking Nathan at the pub, alone.
