Marlena goes missing, Theo has a special day and Will explains where he has been all this time.
At Salem PD, Roman explains to Carrie that Marlena may be in trouble. She was seen leaving around 8:00am to the group. He makes a call to John to get over there right away.
The detectives watch television live, as Will arrives home at Sami's apartment! Tek is surprised Bo hasn't found anything else about Patrick yet and tells him that Patrick is asking Tek to search for more evidence.
At Sami's apartment, Will is confused as everyone asks how he is and who kept him this whole time. They're all happy he is home and explain why the cameras are there. Will is very confused. He tells everyone that he wasn't kidnapped. The reason he didn't go back to school is because he ran away. He didn't want to be the joke of Salem High - again! He has been in Chicago this whole time, watching baseball the entire time away! He tells them that he won't do it again and although they're upset with him, they're happy he is safe. Sami makes a call to her dad, asking him to sweep the place for bugs - she thinks they're being watched.
At a Pub, John meets with Abe, Theo and Lexi. While talking to Abe and Lexi, John goes through some sports cards that Theo is collecting. They're taking Theo to the museum, going to the park, and having lunch together. Theo's pretty excited!
John gets a call from Roman, asking him to get to Salem PD on the double.
Later, Tek and Bo talk about Patrick. Bo thinks it is a waste of time and manpower. He goes over to Sami's apartment and sees John on his way in. John tells him how happy he is that the evidence was found but is upset that Eve had to die in the process. He blames himself partially for that. They discuss how Alex North could have been a part of this but Bo thinks it was Tony DiMera.
John goes in to see Roman and Carrie. They tell him the bad news - she is missing! He's in shock. He tells them that Marlena called him last night before he went to bed, seemingly upbeat. They wonder if she is missing of her own accord or if someone took her. John tells them the good news about Will coming home.
At a Pub, Abe, Lexi and Theo lunch and Lexi is caught up with emotion when she hears a song on the radio (Here and Now by Luther Vandross) that they danced to on their first anniversary. The two kiss and Theo shouts 'Do it again' and they're interrupted by Tek.
Bo arrives at Sami's apartment. Sami tells him that Will ran away, and Bo tells her that the anonymous call that was made on the day that Will went missing came from Patrick's phone. They're all shocked, wondering what Patrick has against Sami, but Bo thinks that he is after himself, not Sami. E.J. points out that with Patrick behind bars, they're all safe now, but Bo isn't so sure.
Back at a pub, Lexi brings up Patrick being the murderer of Eve. Tek watches from another table and comes over to talk to Abe when she goes with Theo to the washroom.
At Sami's place, Will digs into a big breakfast. He explains more about where he was and what he did while he was away, and Sami identifies with him, because she ran away when she was pregnant with him. She asks her son to forgive her for what has taken place recently. Will is upset more when Lucas tells him that he and Carrie are split up. Lucas and Sami ground him indefinitely. They also decide to have Lucas move in with them so that he can have both parents together.
Back at Salem PD, John, Bo and Roman talk about John getting to New Jersey. They find out that the police found a bloodstain in Marlena's hotel room.
At Dune, E.J., Kate and Austin are happy their ratings are up on their television network. Carrie arrives and Kate congratulates Carrie and Austin. Kate worries that Lucas and Sami will get back together.
Austin and Carrie get a separate table. She explains how Roman helped her through the feelings she was having and also that Marlena is missing. Austin gives her his support and hopes for the best, because Will turned out okay.
John leaves Salem PD promising Roman to bring Marlena back safe.
