At the hospital, Philip leaves the room for a moment to sign insurance paperwork, so Mimi asks Shawn to leave her and Belle to talk.

Once Shawn and Phil are gone, Mimi starts to yell at Belle, telling her that she isn't going to let her steal Shawn from her. She accuses Belle of using her unborn baby to break up two marriages. Belle swears that she is devoted to Phil, and Claire and wants to get home to them. Mimi's rant worsens, as she goes on about how Belle is a spoiled princess who feels that she's entitled to her cake and everyone else's. She tells Belle that she's the reason she lost Rex, but she'll be darned if she's going to let her be the reason that she loses Shawn.

Outside, Shawn offers to pull up his car to drive Belle home, but Philip asks him to stop acting like Belle's husband. Shawn insists that Philip has no reason to be insecure about his marriage, just because he is the father of Belle's unborn baby. Philip swears that he'll love this child as much as Claire and will raise him as his own. Philip goes as far as to suggest that the mix-up at the hospital was done on purpose!!

At the apartment, Carrie says goodbye to Lucas, and Austin tells her that they need to talk about what happened on the rooftop. Again, Carrie repeats that it was a mistake and tells Austin her concerns that EJ, might tell Lucas and Sami that he saw them making love.

EJ and Sami are discussing her relationship with Austin, how it is in trouble and that she may lose him to Carrie. Sami won't listen. She feels that Austin was meant to be with her. EJ continues to tell her that whoever it is who is sending these notes is bound and determined to hurt her and this is why she needs to tell Austin the truth! Suddenly, Sami gets an idea, and puts her last note into a plastic bag, announcing her plans to have her Dad dust it for fingerprints!

Carrie pretends that she's headed for bed, while Austin fakes a business call, in order for the duo to meet on the roof again! When the two are together, Carrie apologizes to Austin for stringing him along. She points out that she's married to Lucas and he is engaged to Sami- her sister! She goes on to remind him that she has already broken his heart twice! (She is referring to her affair with Mike Horton, and her marriage to Lucas). Austin and Carrie agree that both Lucas and Sami deserve better, in fact he thinks that they still love one another, but Carrie disagrees, insisting Lucas doesn't want to be with Sami.

Steve shows up at the Salem Police Department to talk with Bo. Bo explains that he's working to save his marriage by proving he didn't steal the evidence that got Chelsea off for Zack's death. Steve asks for Bo's help in saving his marriage, as well, and offers to do all the legwork on Bo's case, in order to free up Bo's time to assist him with his memory. Bo admits concern, telling him that if he does remember everything, he may want to kill him!! Bo explains how he's responsible for Steve's patch over his eye, when they brawled over a woman; they both loved some years back. Steve is undeterred, as Kayla has already let him know about this, and also the fact that he'd forgiven Bo and that they were now friends. With that, the two agree to help one another. Steve suggests that Chelsea or Billie could be two suspects involved in the case of the disappearing evidence, but Bo dismisses both ideas, wondering if Kate could somehow be involved! He orders that Kate be brought in for questioning.

As Steve leaves, Sami and EJ arrive in Bo's office, at the Salem PD. She tells Bo that she needs a favor, and shows him her envelope. She asks that he dusts it for fingerprints. Since it sounds like it could need investigation, and Bo doesn't trust Sami, he asks her to fill out a report. Sami insists that it's personal and that no crime has been committed. Bo has the feeling that she's hiding something and asks if maybe she is the one who had committed a crime!!
