Marlena and John get a blast from the past, Jennifer visits Nicole, and Will plays a trick on Kate.
John's surprised to see Kate show up at Basic Black. Mindy apologizes for letting her barge in. Kate warns that Sami's considering hiring Nick Fallon, which would be a catastrophe and reflect upon Marlena. John's confused of how that would work and urges her to leave the past in the past. "Just let it go."
Marlena is startled after seeing Kristen at the park. Why is she here? Kristen smiles but Marlena finds it unpleasant to see her. Kristen's trying to clear the air but Marlena reminds Kristen they didn't merely have a little tiff! Kristen confesses Stefano asked her to return. It's just like old times. Marlena disagrees. They're not locked in a room together. "Not yet," Kristen jokes. Marlena would have to be an idiot to trust her again even though Kristen claims she has changed. Kristen leaves and Marlena can't find her cell phone. She thinks Kristen stole it.
Tad meets Will at the cafe. Things are awkward. Will complains Tad's been ignoring his texts. Sonny interrupts and says a leggy blonde is the reason Tad's been busy. Tad is uncomfortable but grins. Audrey's not his girlfriend - yet. Will pokes fun at Tad. "If you repress all your natural instincts, she may like you!" Tad laughs and is glad to see Will and Sonny are a happy couple. "Happy is good."
Brady shows up at Jenn's door, surprised she made bail. She gets sarcastic and defends herself against Nicole's accusations. Brady has been in her shoes, and has done something he later has regretted. Jenn denies that is how it went down.
In the hospital, Daniel asks Nicole if could her fall have been an accident? Nicole gasps and gets her ire up, shouting that it's not possible. Daniel attempts to calm her. Nicole accuses him of being in love with Jennifer and things get heated. Cameron tosses Daniel out and later, Jennifer arrives, sorry for Nicole's loss. Nicole gets crazed and starts calling Jennifer a murderer.
Will and Sonny walk through the square arm in arm and discuss the workings of Tad's mind. They talk about gay statistics and Sonny thinks someday in Salem, he and Will could marry. He'd be the happiest guy. "Let's get married," Sonny asks. They could do it in New York or Idaho, so they can go camping. Sonny starts to laugh at his practical joke. Will's eyes practically bug out of his head. Though he wants the right to marry, he's not sure he wants to exercise it. They kiss and Kate interrupts. They look happy. They are. Will says Sonny just proposed! They play her for a while and then admit it's a joke. Kate likes them together but privately asks that Will not rush this.
Daniel visits Maggie at her home to rant about Nicole and Jennifer's situation. Daniel thinks Nicole must blame Jennifer because otherwise the guilt of her not walking away from Jenn would be too much. Daniel beats himself up about his part in this mess. He leaves and Jenn drops by, miserable.
Brady finds John alone in his office, deep in thought. Brady needs to work and talks about losing Madi, and Nicole and Jenn's issues. John tells him, "Your life sucks right now," but John's not worried about him. Brady laughs and goes for a run. John ends his day to see Marlena but is stopped by Kristen before he gets out the door.
Daniel returns to Nicole's bedside and asks her to go away with him when she's better.
