Kristen stalks Marlena, Daniel learns EJ knows the truth, and there's a Brady family meeting.
John attempts to focus at work but can't get the dream about Kristen out of his head. He flashes to the dream. Marlena waltzes in, ready for their picnic. Frustrated, he explains how profits are low and he's preparing for a meeting. They agree to meet at the park.
Kristen has breakfast in her room whilst reading Salem news. She reads about Jennifer's arrest and John's embezzlement charges when Stefano calls for a progress report. He's unable to return to Salem just yet.
A supportive Abby visits Jennifer in jail. Justin arrives. Jenn's bail has been set. Abby gives the two privacy and Justin confirms that she is being charged with second degree murder. Jenn's shocked. Her case doesn't look good with Brady and Billie's statements. They claim Jennifer made no move to help Nicole. Jenn cries that she was frozen in shock. They discuss her previous arguments with Nicole and Jenn explains she's been trying to save Daniel because she couldn't save Jack. Jenn needs to brace herself for the worst once Nicole gives a statement.
From the hospital, Daniel is unable to get an update on Jennifer from the court clerk's office. He flashes to his visit to Jenn's cell and goes to see Nicole, who is flashing to the events which led up to her being hospitalized. Nicole tells him that in her sedated state, she spilled to EJ that the baby was his! Daniel is in shock but he knew the risk. Nicole worries Daniel will lose his license because of her. Daniel assures her they'll figure it all out and offers to pick up a few things from her apartment. He leaves and Abigail arrives with an attempt to convince Nicole not to punish her mother. Nicole becomes upset and a nurse kicks Abby out.
Bo and Kayla meet at The Coffee Bean to discuss how Roman's having a difficult time with Caroline's devastating news and Jennifer being incarcerated. Roman turns up and they discuss the test results. Caroline's not having mini-strokes and these events will only get worse. Bo relays what happened last night when Victor showed up. While Kay and Roman agree Caroline needs a caretaker, Bo disagrees angrily and decides he has to be the one to approach Caroline about it. He owes it to her after making her life difficult for years when he learned Victor was his biological father. They need to do this right. They owe her that much. Everyone tears up and Roman heads back to SPD.
Kristen is sitting at the square reading about the embezzlement charges and assumes her father and brother set John up. She spies John and Marlena kissing nearby. John and Marlena go their separate ways. He can't make their picnic and is having a bad day. "Bye Grumpy, Sneezy, Bashful," she jokes as he heads off.
Daniel bumps into Jennifer and Justin outside the pub. Justin takes a call while Jenn thanks Daniel for his support. Jenn heads inside for lunch for her and Abby while Daniel worries to Justin about how unfair the charges are. Justin shares his views.
Daniel arrives home to pick up Nicole's things and chokes up when he spots the shopping bag filled with Nicole's baby's outfits.
Justin drops Jenn off at home so she can take a 3 hour shower. Abby gets there, happy to see Jenn out. Jenn explains she's been charged with murder but released on her own recognizance. Abby doesn't believe Jenn murdered the child and Jenn hopes she doesn't think she did this on purpose!
John arrives back at the office. He assures "a moron" named Syd over the phone that his concerns will be addressed in the meeting. He is paged by Mindy, his assistant. He grumbles that he has to wrap things up and get the hell out of there. She tells him there's a woman who arrived to see him and walked right by her desk. She's headed in.
Marlena sets up the picnic lunch at the park. She appears relaxed when Kristen arrives and says, "Hello Marlena. It's been a while..." Marlena stares.
Daniel returns to the hospital with Nicole's robe and a turkey sandwich and tries to get her to eat. He brings up Jennifer. Is it possible that Nicole may be mistaken about Jennifer pushing her down the stairs?
