I understand why Chad's like papa bear over Mel, it would be a be a epic fail if he wasn't. I just can't get over how much he's changed in a month, I get why he's changed. On another note am I the only one who thinks Chad and Nick looks related.

NO HOLDING. --thank you jubilant..thats it...She never changed at all. In this version she is so young. You recognize her right away. Even though I don't recall seeing her in movies or shows until she was older.

IT'S the older version with Julie Harris. I like the older version with James Dean.

    Thanks Chrissi.

Caylee I thought when they were standing side by side that they had similarites but is that because they are tall, lanky and dark headed...that's when it stopped for me.

Thanks amlds.. I just watching Days AGAIN.. but changed channel..
Yeah. Had to look it up, but James Dean, Julie Harris, Raymond Massey & Burl Ives.

OK.. NOW this is JMO!!! So no bashing please! LOL.
But... IMO, Will could star in a movie of "The Life of James Dean".. Maybe it's the hair? or something that immediately reminded me of Will?!? Maybe I just have DOOL's on the brain! ha.

I read the whole thing again, worried that some more was left out. Noticed the part about Nicole having a boy didn't show up. Must have been some caching issue so I added it again. Bah!! Sorry about that. Keeping an eye on this.

Hello to all my dear posting pals! So, the kids went back to school this week, and it has been CRAZY on this end trying to get back into routine. I haven't had time to post and wanted to catch up a bit while the baby's napping And believe me, I have A LOT to catch up on - lol!!! But first . . .

This is totally off-topic, but I couldn't understand where on earth this comment came from (off last friday's recap). It has nothing to do with DAYS and nothing to do with anything anyone was talking about even "off-topic". Nevertheless, it has been bothering me for nearly an entire week now as I've have been wanting to address it and just haven't had the time.

    Holdingon posted last Friday . . .
AMEN Bearigan.....When they started taking GOD out of
    everything...things changed....and I still cannot put
my arms around making an x in Christmas....they even
take him out of that!!! No more Christmas music in
stores...cause we might offend someone. I bet you
if we went to another country...we would have to follow
their rules...but they come here...and we have to bend
    until we break!!!

I'm not sure who the "they" is that you're referring to when you say, "...they even take him out of that!!!" But, as far as I'm aware, its use in American English vernacular has been the handiwork of American marketing and advertising firms dating back quite some years ago. The "X" comes from the Greek word for Christ, and I encourage you to please read about the history of this popular abbreviation here (making sure to note the 1922 photo from Ladies' Home Journal using the word X-mas in its advertising): en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xmas

I've never, in my life, heard of Christmas music being banned from a store because it might offend someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas. I need some concrete proof (not "here-say") before I believe this one!

America is a pluralistic country with religious freedom for ALL. In fact, something I would love to see happen would be to hear songs from all faiths and cultures (during "their" holidays) when I'm out shopping and running errands. As well, I love how some schools do make a point of teaching "diversity" by having events such as "Mulit-cultural week," and even incorporating it into the curriculum so children can learn, from an early age, how big and beautifully diverse the world is. I think it's an amazing way to build a sense of community, understanding, and acceptance (or at the very least, tolerance) amongst our fellow citizens by bringing awareness to the fact that not everyone eats the same foods, dresses the same way, and believes in or celebrates the same things at the same times. Even amongst Christians, there's so much diversity that's not well known. For example, when I lived in Toronto, I was very near to a Greek neighborhood, and it wasn't until "after" Dec. 25th that they would turn their outside Christmas lights on! I couldn't figure out why, so I asked my husband, and he said it's because the Greek Orthodox faith has a different calendar and celebrates Christ's birth on a different day . . . in January!!! Isn't that interesting? I thought so!!!

I just had to laugh at that last statement about following the rules of a particular country . . . as if playing Christmas music in stores is a "rule" - lol!!! I'm sure any immigrant (assuming you're referring to "immigrants" of different faiths, although there are many American-born Jews, Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. whom you probably lump together with immigrants) . . . anyway, I'm sure any immigrant who comes to America seeking democracy, human rights, freedom, and equality, comes with the intention of following the "rules" (let's call them "laws" of which, "listening to Christmas music while shopping in December" is faaaar from - lol) just as you or I would be expected to follow the laws of whatever land we chose to live in. But let's not mistake "democracy" for "Christianity" because "democracy" is America's foundation, and IT is for everyone!

So, after all this, if you still have an issue with Christ missing from X-mas . . . I suggest taking it up with Santa Claus! ;-)

That's it for now . . . promise to be back later with my thoughts on DAYS!!!!!! ;-) TGIF everyone!!!
