Victor Will Have A Cow. Friday, August 31 2012

Melanie comes to a decision, Maggie and Victor bicker, and Nick has a change of heart.

Melanie tosses and turns in bed as she dreams about Nick manhandling her. She wakes up with a scream and rushes into Brady's arms when he comes knocking. He tries to get her to talk about her nightmare but she minimizes, because of him losing Madi. They discuss what she should do. She wasn't innocent in this either, she exclaims.

Daniel finds Maggie at the square. She agrees to let Nicole move in with her, even though Daniel knows Victor will 'have a cow'. Maggie will handle Victor.

Outside the pub, Nicole receives a letter about Nick's parole. "Like I care," she says. She sees Jenn hugging Abe inside. Abe and Jenn commiserate over the deaths of their spouses. Nicole interrupts with an apology to Abe for helping EJ play dirty to win the mayoral campaign. Kayla, Jenn and Abe almost fall over when Nicole hugs Abe. He agrees to move on and she tears up and gives him another hug. Kayla pulls Jenn aside to tell her the divorce papers are being drawn up. Jenn's sorry to hear but Kayla thinks it's for the best. Outside, Nicole grins to herself, hoping the apology gets back to Daniel. "Being contrite works up an appetite." She walks off and inside, Jenn asks Abe if Nicole's sincere. He's not sure but finds forgiveness easier than holding a grudge.

Chad goes to Abigail at her home to ask her to take sides. "I need you to choose between Melanie and your family." He fills her in on Nick's parole hearing today and asks Abigail to convince Mel to ensure Nick stays in prison. Abigail muses that this isn't black and white. She doesn't want to get in the middle of this.

Jessica arrives with Hope to see Nick in prison. Jess is hoping to get her son home where he belongs. Nick suggests Jessica splash water on her face while he tells Hope she's being unfair by bringing his mother into this. Hope's not trying to be fair. If he continues to sabotage himself, she'll kill him! The board, the doctors, everyone sees that he has changed. Jess returns and Nick has changed his mind. He'll let this play out but he won't counter a letter from Melanie.

Chad walks in on Brady hugging Melanie and asks what the hell is going on. It's awkward and he apologizes while shaking around his keys. Brady shares their conversation about Nick and Chad badgers her to write the letter to keep Nick in prison. Beaten down, she agrees to it and starts writing while Chad says goodbye to Brady.

Nicole arrives at the hospital. She finds Daniel and worries to him about Nick getting paroled. She offers to make a media firestorm on Melanie's behalf. He can't ask her to do that. She doesn't mind. She'd do anything for him. Things are awkward and Daniel tells Nicole that's not the way he and Melanie work. He does, however have a thought on her living situation. Daniel starts to laugh when she thinks that she's moving in with him. Her face falls and then she learns she may be staying with Maggie and Victor.

Abby walks into the pub and overhears Kayla telling Abe she's getting a divorce and that she may work at University Hospital. Abby's upset with the news and Kayla assures her that Uncle Steve will be fine. How does Kayla know, Abby points out. Abby runs off, upset, and cancels a date with Cameron.

Maggie heads home to ask Victor if Nicole can stay with them. She barely gets the words out before he gives her a firm, "No." If it was April, he'd think this was a joke. Maggie reminds him they've an extra wing they don't even use but Victor points out that if she lived in South America, it'd be too close. They bicker and Jenn walks in. They continue the argument and Jenn learns Nicole needs a place to live. She suggests Nicole could move in with her.

"DOOL" is pre-empted Monday September 3 for Labor Day.

Tuesday sneaks...

Conflicted, Melanie has second thoughts about trying to stop Nick's parole.

Melanie bursts into the hearing declaring she has something to say.

EJ confronts Sami about where they stand and reveals he's still a DiMera.
