Nicole and Daniel continue their date, Carrie and Austin bond over a sonogram, and Will takes the upper hand with EJ.
At the mansion Will reads EJ's letter. He's stunned. EJ wanders down the stairs and comes in asking Will what he's doing. He claims to be looking for his phone. EJ gives Will an errand to run - a shady deal regarding a substantial amount of money. That's why he's sending Will. EJ doesn't think Will should question his morality. Will thanks him and says he knows better than to get on the wrong side of a DiMera. EJ announces that as he is his father's heir he runs the DiMera empire and reminds Will that it's his job to do what he wants. Will suggests the more he knows the more helpful he'll be. EJ thinks he should be grateful. He reminds Will that while he's watched a few plays he has no idea how to execute them. Will smiles and heads out. Outside the door he checks on the letter he hid in his coat.
At the pub Austin sits down with Carrie. She's not hungry because of Sami. She tells him that Sami thought Rafe might be the father of the baby. Austin wonders where Sami comes up with this stuff and isn't she happy with Lucas? He suggests she can't take responsibility so she blames others. Carrie admits that it's partly her fault - what happened with Rafe never should have been. She let him down but never slept with Rafe. He knows. The marriage was on shaky ground for things they both did. She thanks him for understanding.
Sami confronts Rafe at the SPD. She accuses him of being Carrie’s baby’s father. It's a ridiculous question - he never slept with Carrie. Sami wants him to stop pretending he's better than her. She claims he slept with Nicole, got her pregnant and now he's "two for two." Rafe blasts her for throwing Nicole in his face when he and Nicole were hurt by what she and EJ did. Sami admits her mistake and says he wanted to work on their marriage. Since Rafe blames her for ending their marriage she wants him to admit his part. He’s sorry for having feelings for Carrie. EJ comes in as Rafe announces he never got her pregnant. He assumes Rafe is referring to Nicole. Rafe reminds him of the paternity results and wonders if EJ is there for the lie detector test. He’s there to speak with Roman and then leaves. Sami admits they were worried EJ forced Will to do his dirty work. Rafe cares about Will and thinks maybe he could talk to him. Sami finds it hard to believe EJ killed his father. Rafe suggests Sami stay out of everyone’s business.
Daniel and Nicole wake up together in her bed. She didn't expect him to stay the night. Nicole is happy he's there, she hasn't shared her bed with a man since EJ. Daniel thought her and Rafe… Nicole says no, they spent a lot of time together so EJ thought they had sex and now Rafe - and him - are caught up in her mess. Making the best of it, they make love. After, they joke about her former gold digger ways.
At Chez Rouge Nic and Daniel have brunch. She admits she has regrets. Daniel wonders if she is ready to raise the baby on her own. She doesn’t want the baby raised as a DiMera and who knows - someday she might find someone to help her out. Daniel admires her dedication to her child. Nicole mentions that getting together from a rebound is trouble but Daniel suggests they both like trouble. They laugh about the date that started yesterday. They talk about his former romances, he didn’t want anything complicated. He admits they may have crossed the line when they slept together but Nicole declares she thinks he likes complicated. She doesn’t want to put a name on their relationship. He says it’s good... as is.
At the pub Will rereads the letter stating that EJ is not Stefano’s son then hides it in a safe. Sonny wanders in and wonders why Will is jazzed up. Will declares things will be very different between EJ and him from now on.
Back at the mansion, EJ leaves an angry message for Will regarding his errand. Soon Will runs in but EJ brings up that he was late and didn’t complete his errand. Will plays it cool and after sly banter with EJ announces that from now on... he will be calling the shots. EJ suggests he is suffering from delusions of grandeur. Will admits he knows EJ is not a DiMera.
In a park, Carrie and Austin gush over ultrasound pictures of their little one. She promises to show him how much their marriage means. After Austin leaves, Rafe shows up.
