Sami finds out about Carrie's pregnancy, Rafe questions EJ, and Will discovers EJ's secret document.
Carrie and Marlena wander into the square after shopping. Marlena surprises Carrie with a baby outfit but it slips out of her hands. Sami happens by and picks it up. What's going on? Carrie reveals she's pregnant prompting Sami to wonder why she didn't want her to know. Sami demands to know who the father is. Carrie explains the father is Austin - she never slept with Rafe. Sami counters that Carrie stole her husband. Carrie blasts her for being unfaithful and throwing away Rafe. Marlena condemns Sami for begrudging Carrie's happiness. She demands Sami tell Carrie she's happy for her. Instead, Sami rants that Marlena is on Carrie's side. Marlena is tired of her accusations. Carrie wishes the baby was Rafe's since it would serve Sami right. Sami was trying to work on her marriage and Carrie was in the way. Sami storms off. Carrie wonders if maybe she was in the way. She knows she has to get over Rafe but doesn't know if she can.
At the pub Will sits down with Sonny and they laugh about Will's sexual orientation being headline news. Sonny reminds him the point is he was cleared as a murder suspect. He claims Will thinks EJ did it. Will knows EJ is keeping a secret but scoffs at the idea EJ killed his father since flesh and blood means everything to the DiMeras. Will mentions that when he finds out what EJ is hiding he'll have leverage and can get him off his back. Sonny points out that Will could get hurt by getting into EJ's business. Will doesn't have a choice. It's his fight but Sonny just wants to be by his side. Will jumps up to greet Brian from the club. He does introductions. Brian questions why Will waited to share his alibi. He asks if he wasn't charged with murder… would he still have come out? Brian takes a call and Sonny suggests to Will that he might have appeared ashamed of being gay. After Will leaves Brian chats with Sonny. Sonny stands up for Will - it wasn't easy for him to come out. Brian can see Sonny is into Will but reminds him that he comes with a lot of baggage.
Outside the DiMera mansion Rafe tells Spencer they have to play the trump card with EJ - he doesn't know they have his bullets. Inside, EJ reviews a document and when Rafe knocks at the door, hides it in the desk drawer. Rafe and Spencer enter the mansion. It's of devastating importance to find Stefano's killer. Rafe is surprised by EJ's lack of cooperation while EJ suggests that Rafe is covering up his ineptitude by harassing him. He suggests Rafe enjoy his job - while he still has it. Rafe suggests he doesn't make a huge mistake. They continue the banter with EJ accusing Rafe of conducting a witch hunt and Rafe advising EJ to clear his name and take a lie detector test. EJ doesn't trust the police department not to skew the result. EJ tries to excuse himself but Rafe asks if he has a gun. That's an unnecessary question since Rafe checked the registry but Rafe wonders if he has an illegal one. Rafe keeps pressing the gun issue prompting EJ to declare it's his job to uphold the law. Rafe and Spencer leave and Will shows up. EJ hides the document in the drawer again. He mentions Rafe's suggestion he take a lie detector test then smirks, "As if I have anything to hide." Will counters, "Don't you?" EJ suggests Will be careful how he speaks to him - the secret Will thinks he has on him is nothing compared to the one he has on Will. EJ suggests that he is the best friend Will has right now and reminds him there isn't a statute of limitations on attempted murder. Will says he could use insanity as a defense - although it could have been one of the saner moments of his life. EJ compares him to his mother and Will is lucky he likes his mother. EJ heads out leaving Will alone. He spies the drawer and reads EJ's document.
At the SPD Rafe and Spencer chat about EJ. Rafe knew EJ wouldn't take the lie detector test but hoped he'd slip up. Rafe had a plan to back EJ into a corner. Spencer doesn't want any more stunts but admits it was a great plan. He reminds him to not focus entirely on EJ. There are other suspects. Spencer leaves and Sami storms in demanding to know how long Rafe has known Carrie was pregnant.
