Bo and Hope have therapy with Marlena, Kayla has a shocking admission, and Victor begs for forgiveness.

Since John is 'away', Bo and Hope show up at Marlena's place for another therapy lesson. It's been a while. Bo appears nervous and neither knows what to say. They're upset Roman has taken them off the case and mumble something about not having issues at work as partners. They worry someone they love has murdered Stefano. Marlena suspects she and John are on the suspect list and tells them everything that passes between them is confidential. She tells them what she told Sami, that they won't lie but they'll stick together during the investigation. Finally, they get to the point of the visit. Bo is having a difficult time with what happened in Alamainia. Hope thinks Stefano's death has brought closure. Bo admits he'd like to know what happened between her and John. She assures him she and John didn't get physical in Alamainia. She doesn't think the transformation was complete this time. They agree that their connection brought them back together. Bo finds it hard that his wife's still married to John. Marlena admits she's not happy about it either but she blames Stefano. Bo rants about having to jump through hoops to marry his wife yet again. This touches Hope and everyone shares a chuckle. Later, they take tea and Bo and Hope feel good about their session.

Abe finds Kayla almost in tears at the pub but she insists everything is fine. He mopes. Jenn walks up and Abe tells them Lexi's getting weaker and he'd like the ladies to help him plan a special picnic. Kayla goes off to prepare it and returns later to find an upsetting text. Abe questions her. Jenn assumes it's Stephanie but Kayla confesses she and Steve have had ongoing issues since they left Salem. Steve craves adventure, like Jack. He's not happy with the mundane. Jenn identifies. Kayla tells them Steve went back into the ISA without discussing it with her first. She finds it reckless and though he's the man she fell in love with, he's not the man she wants to be with anymore. She whispers that after what was said today, she knows it's over. They're not going to have the 'happily ever after'. Suddenly her head snaps and she apologizes to Abe for being so insensitive. Abe is glad she opened up and tells her she'll get through this for Stephanie and Joey, just like he has to get through Lexi's passing for Theo.

Against her better judgement, Maggie arrives at Victor's place. She's not ready to make up and when she sees he has set a romantic table she sneers, "Are you kidding me?" She reminds him of his betrayal. He was afraid to lose her. "This is lame," he says, motioning to the romantic setting. He won't lose Maggie, not after what happened to Stefano. It was a wake-up call for him. He tells Maggie they had some things in common. Maggie snipes, "That your criminal lawyers are on speed dial?" Victor says they were both callus, ruthless and they love their families. He knew what Stefano was going through by losing his daughter. Victor asks for forgiveness but Maggie isn't sure she can trust him. Victor fumbles over his explanation. He reminds her he didn't know the eggs were hers but that doesn't make a difference to Maggie. She loves him and is willing to listen and then doesn't let him get a word in edgewise. He promises never to lie to her again and she cries. She's sure he means it but isn't sure it's a promise he can keep. They share a light-hearted moment but Maggie is still not sure their love is enough. He thinks she should take the risk. "You might hit the jackpot." What about what Maggie might lose? She can't put her heart on the line again and decides it's time to say goodbye. Victor stops her. There's something else she needs to know. Victor knows what he did was 'unmanly' but she makes him want to be a better man for her. Again he asks for another chance.
