EJ gets rid of evidence, Madison considers postponing the wedding, and Melanie's being followed.
At the Titan offices, Kate's distracted when Madison bustles in talking about work. She notices Kate is distant and apologizes for being an 'insensitive idiot'. She's been watching the news about Stefano and assumes Kate still loves Stefano. Kate says as they both know, sometimes love isn't enough. Madi looks at her engagement ring and they start talking about trust. Madison feels compelled to warn Kate about Ian. Brady arrives with an apology but no explanation for his behavior. He sets down his protein shake and Kate suggests he draft an apology to PR. Brady waits in the hall while Madi asks Kate to back off. Kate agrees and leaves her to talk to Brady alone. Brady says Maggie suggested he submit to a random drug test.
EJ stares at Stefano's portrait at home. Ian lets himself in with condolences. EJ says his father's remains are on their way back to Italy. Ian's not there to gawk. He came to see EJ. He knows what it's like to be the son of a powerful man. EJ lashes out about Ian taking Kate to bed. Ian tells EJ he knew Kate before Stefano did. EJ ponders why Ian found her memorable. He didn't. Ian discusses the war between DiMeras and the Kiriakis families and Ian would like to find a way to publicly support each other in their business ventures. EJ's offended. Ian suggests they have dinner another time and leaves.
Melanie and Gabi sit at the square and talk about the stalker and the police's involvement. Just outside the gate, Will explains to Chad that he can't discuss the case. Chad demands Will tell him everything. Nearby, Gabi assures Mel that Chad will get over being upset with her. When Mel tries to go look for him, Gabi has cramps and Melanie suggests she take some Midol Complete. She hands some over. They overhear Chad yelling at Will and rush over. Will admits why he was arrested but he didn't do it. Chad goes nuts. Melanie reminds him people are innocent until proven guilty. Will takes off and Melanie and Chad continue to argue. Melanie reminds him that she was a suspect in her father's murder and understands how the system works. Chad thinks Melanie would like to pin a medal on whomever killed his father. Melanie's hurt and the argument escalates. She leaves crying and Chad breaks down and sobs. Gabi moves right in to offer comfort while Andrew watches unseen. Gabi tries to make Mel look bad but Chad is ready to apologize to Mel. Gabi grabs his phone, stopping him.
In his basement, Andrew gets out a roll of duct tape and some rope. He's ready to go to work.
Will turns up at the DiMera mansion. He wants to know what EJ's motives are for using him as a slave. EJ refuses to tell him. Will asks, "I don't like having people think I'm a murder. So. You gonna get me off?" EJ replies, "William. I took care of your bail. It's not up to me to get you off." Will points out that he can't do EJ's dirty work if he's in jail. Will says he can't be tried for a crime his father already did time for. EJ corrects him, telling him how double jeopardy works. Things will look bad for Will if the DA learns the truth. EJ strokes his leg and bursts out laughing after he learns more about Will's case. He finds it ironic that Will fired a gun the same day Stefano was shot. EJ admits he knows Will didn't shoot his father, but claims not to know who did. EJ rushes off to a meeting and asks Will to stay there until he gets back. Will complains. EJ reminds him, "I say jump, and you say..." Will finishes, "How high."
Ian returns to Titan and spots Kate listening at the boardroom door. She explains Brady is in there with Madison. She's waiting for Brady's confession which hasn't come. Ian acts surprised and concerned for Madison. In the boardroom, Madi says she still loves him. He wishes he didn't have 'this crap' in his past and swears on his mother's memory he didn't use drugs before that lunch. Madi asks Brady to postpone the wedding, which makes Brady panic. He asks that she not give up so they table their postponement discussion.
Melanie wanders through the park, sensing she's being followed and she is, by Andrew who holds a cloth containing chloroform.
EJ arrives at the pier and tosses his black gloves in a bin.
EJ returns home and tells Will he'll help him. He'd like Will to owe him for the 'rest of his inconsequential life'. Will suggests EJ killed his father!
