Stefano threatens John and Hope, Will opens up to Marlena about his sexuality, and Daniel attempts saving Bo's life.
Will arrives to the townhouse with Scrabble in order to alleviate the boredom while John's out of the country. Marlena calls for Chinese food. Will starts in on Sami's lack of parenting over the years and Marlena tries to get him to discuss his sexuality once again. He says he kissed a guy. "And?" Marlena asks. "Isn't that enough?" Will counters. It's hard for him to put into words, how he feels. Will admits while Neil was a nice guy to talk to, he didn't plan on kissing him. Marlena guesses he feels guilty about it. He does and will make sure it doesn't happen again. Marlena thinks he's letting his head make a decision for his heart. Will thinks she sounds like his fortune cookie. Marlena laughs. Will wanted a normal life. Marlena points out that he is normal and just has to find out who he is, and love himself.
At the square, Jenn and Jack are amazed to read a letter from the dean at JJ's boarding school. Though Jenn misses her son, JJ's happy at school. They discuss how today would have been Tom and Alice's 72nd anniversary. Jack hints around asking how she feels about Daniel's return to Salem. She admits that Daniel's over her. Jack suddenly jumps up and leaves, returning moments later with roses, knowing Alice loved them. Jenn's impressed. Maggie turns up and they reminisce about Alice and Tom in flashbacks.
Daniel arrives at the pub and works on Bo, along with Kayla, while Roman watches nervously.
Roman follows Kayla, Daniel and Bo to the hospital, where they work on him. Roman feels responsible and worries about not being able to get through to Hope in Alamainia. Daniel tells the siblings that Bo's stable for now but later examines him again and finds that Bo has slipped into a coma. His body needs to rest. Roman tells his little brother to stay strong for his family and calls Will and Marlena, who arrive momentarily. Marlena's concerned that they can't get through to Alamainia, admitting she can't reach John either. Roman gives his brother a pep talk and then finds Marlena, who admits Bo's prognosis doesn't look good.
EJ gets his foot in the door at Nicole's hotel, begging for a chance to explain himself. Nicole doesn't want to talk to him but he lets himself in anyway. He tells Nicole that sex with Sami was a mistake and only happened because they were grieving. Nicole can't forgive him. She yells, he makes promises that he'll never hurt her again and since he won't leave, Nicole does.
In Alamainia, in the cafe, John tries getting information out of Stefano about the ISA agent Walsh, who was murdered. Stefano holds a gun to Hope and John, and insists they discuss it somewhere more private. John reminds Stefano he has programmed some amazing talents in his brain. He'll snap Stefano's neck before he is shot. "You trained me to be a highly efficient killing machine," he says and asks Stefano to start talking. Stefano wonders why they always accuse him of being responsible for every wrongdoing in their life. They discuss Hope and John's past and John barks at Stefano to stop trying to drive a wedge between him and his wife. Stefano finds this amusing. "If Marlena blows her nose in Salem, am I responsible?" He laughs. Hope suddenly sees that she has messages from Roman about Bo being in the hospital.
Rafe has lunch with Allie, Johnny and Sydney at the pub. Johnny thinks he left home because his mom made Rafe mad. Rafe's uncomfortable but explains it's a time out and that their father's return has nothing to do with it.
EJ follows Nicole into the square. He wants to talk but she once again rebuffs him. Rafe finds Nicole yelling at EJ and steps between them. EJ tells Rafe to get lost and throws his new title as mayor in Rafe's face. Rafe tries embarrassing EJ by talking loudly about him sleeping with Sami. EJ fiddles with his ear and advises Rafe to keep his voice down. Rafe considers rearranging EJ's face again. This causes more ear twiddling and Nicole to look uneasy. Rafe threatens to call the Spectator and EJ leaves. Rafe and Nicole discuss the kids and how this affects them before she goes home to eat her "melting ice cream."
