Days of Our Lives - DAILY UPDATES

At SPD, Roman tells a cop to update him every ten minutes with news and Bo informs him that Johnny hasn't come out of hiding yet. If his disappearance is connected to John's case, the less chance they have of finding him alive.

In the courthouse, Carrie is going to ask for a continuance. Marlena gets a text. There's no sign of Johnny yet. Carrie and Austin take off and John wants to plead guilty but Marlena begs him to drop that idea. They argue but this isn't her choice. He takes the blame for Johnny going missing. Meanwhile, Austin follows Carrie to another office and relays his concerns for her safety. Carrie tries reassuring him but he's freaked out.

EJ arrives outside the pub, which is cordoned off. He leaves a message for Sami and when Nicole arrives, he informs her of what's going on. She suggests he release a statement since he's supporting the class action suit. They worry about Johnny and Sami texts telling EJ she's at SPD.

Back at SPD, Sami is in a panic. This wouldn't have happened if they didn't take the children to see John. Roman tells Bo to get video surveillance from the area. EJ and Nicole rush in and Sami pronounces Johnny missing. EJ doesn't understand how that could have happened and yells, "Why didn't you call me when this happened?" He wonders why she'd take him to a public place with John Black in the midst of this case. Bo tries reasoning with EJ but he tells them to stay out of his way. He'll search for his son himself. Sami yells for everyone to shut up. Bo knows how EJ feels but EJ reminds him that Ciara ran away. It's not the same. Bo wants EJ to let them do their job. Nicole takes EJ aside and Roman tells Rafe the DiMera's can't take over this investigation. Sami just wants her baby back, and bawls on Rafe's shoulder. Outside, Nicole tries to calm EJ down. He needs to start mending fences with the Salem SPD and prove he can hold it together in the worst possible of scenarios. Inside, Roman, Rafe and Sami suggest places Johnny could have run to. EJ returns and apologizes for his outburst. Bo says they need to be on the same team and goes off to see if there's been progress on the shooting. Rafe goes to call Tim at the FBI. Sami bawls and EJ comforts her. Bo makes a call to every PD within a 25 mile radius and Carrie and Austin arrive and Rafe updates that the FBI has a few leads about the sniper. Sami vents that if it wasn't for John Black, her son wouldn't be missing. Rafe says she doesn't mean that but, "The hell I don't," Sami barks, bitterly. Carrie and Roman tell Sami that bringing the children to see John and Marlena was the right thing to do but Sami yells gutturally and asks her sister to tell John that she hopes he pays for what he did to her son.

Daniel visits Jennifer at home and they discuss the shooting at the pub. She's sorry she wasn't there for Victor and Maggie's wedding. Daniel knows they can't control the weather. "Especially not these days," Jennifer quips. Daniel confesses he saw her kissing Jack. She feels bad. Daniel isn't sure he's cut out for this. It's harder than he thought it would be. Jenn explains the kiss. She's not ready to make a decision yet. Daniel's not trying to make her feel bad. After all, this was his idea. Neither is willing to give up on the other just yet. Jenn cries and brings up what if scenarios. They hug and come close to kissing but Daniel needs space right now. He leaves, dejected as Jenn cries.

Carrie and Sami arrive at the pub but can't get in to see if Johnny's inside. Sami rants about Marlena standing by John's side when she should be out searching for Johnny. Carrie insists Marlena's with John because he doesn't have anyone else. Sami reminds Carrie that Marlena has always chosen John over them. She runs off in tears to find her son. Austin turns up and Carrie gets a text. "The judge is ready to roll."

Sami runs into Rafe at the square. She pulls him off to find her kid. EJ and Nicole wander up and Nicole admits she's on Sami's side. EJ blames himself for giving full custody to Sami. She thinks he should let the police handle this but he wants to call in his operatives. Nicole thinks the public will have a field day with that.

Back at the SPD, Bo and Roman get a call. The suspect has ditched his car and been found on foot near the town square. They rush off.

Over at the square, sirens are heard as Sami yells for Johnny. Rafe receives a text. They found the shooter. The police bring the shooter out and Roman finds them. He knows the man. Sami and Rafe run up and Sami grabs the man, gutturally yelling, "What have you done with my son?" The cops try to pull her off him.

Carrie and Austin return to the courthouse and tell John and Marlena the judge won't grant a continuance. John tells them he's pleading guilty, much to Austin and Carrie's surprise.

Salem Spoilers For The Next Days Of Our Lives:

EJ asks, "Where's my son?" Roman doesn't think the shooter knows anything about Johnny's disappearance.

"What if there's a reason Johnny can't get back to us?" Sami asks.

"I am going to find him if it's the last thing that I do," EJ proclaims.
