    You're A Tramp Again.

    Wednesday, April 20 2011
Nicole reads a private letter, Philip takes Parker and leaves Chloe, and Melanie recognizes the intruder.

As Melanie readies for bed, a masked intruder looks in the window at her. Suddenly she hears a noise. He’s inside and grabs her. He admits he killed Arianna and says he plans to do the same to her. They struggle, she pepper-sprays him, he threatens to kill her and she plants a vase on his head. He goes down and as they struggle Dario comes in and begins beating the man. The intruder falls and is unconscious. Dario removes his mask and Melanie recognizes him.

While walking outside Kate talks aloud and tells a non-existent Philip not to back down. She has a smug look on her face as Victor approaches and guesses that something is up. She tells him to go home and find out for himself.

At the Kiriakis home Chloe is surprised to find that Kate taped their conversation. Philip asks if Kate doctored the tape. Chloe admits to him that she said those things. Chloe defends herself and Philip is not impressed. He tells her that she wants him to feel sorry for her. She admits she shouldn’t drink when she takes medication. She blames Kate for what she said and brings on the tears. He says that no one is going to use Parker like this, especially her. He says she moves from man to man looking for attention and doesn’t think change is possible for her. She claims she’s a good mom but he reminds her she got wasted and drunk-dialed his mom. He doesn’t want Parker to grow up with her and says he and Parker are leaving. She stands there stunned then chases them around the house crying. She pleads and wails as Victor overhears it all. She grabs Parker as Philip tells her to kiss him goodnight. She refuses. Victor walks in and advises her to do what Philip says. She kisses Parker and hands him to Philip. She cries to Victor and he says she’s a disease. He’s glad Philip’s keeping Parker away from her. He and Parker leave promising to keep in touch. Victor keeps her from going after them. He calls her a tramp and slams the door as she leaves.

In the operating room Dr. Watterson asks Carly if he should take over the operation. She moves aside and discretely takes some pills and leaves to scrub up again. He wonders how she keeps working so long. After the operation Carly sees that she’s run out of pills.

Dario tells Nicole at the funeral home that Rafe took off. She hangs up and the minister joins her. He reminds her that Faye loved her. When he leaves her alone, she begins to write her letter to Faye. She sees that Taylor’s envelope isn’t sealed and reads the letter. She’s shocked to read that Taylor admits that she did something that wasn’t supposed to happen and disappointed their mom. Nicole wonders what it was.

After the limo accident EJ and Taylor lie knocked out. EJ wakes first and tries to bring her around. He screams for help but no one answers. She wakes with her leg pinned and he explains what happened, kisses her forehead and holds her close. The driver tells them he hit a tree. He says he won’t leave her. They caress and comfort each other and he says he’s done the wrong thing. He explains that when he thought she was dead he realized that he was in love with her. They start to smooch it up big time. Nicole comes onto the scene and sees the wreck. She tries to open the limo door.

On the phone Jennifer talks to a potential hospital philanthropist at the nurse’s station and orders a pizza while Maxine and Daniel listen in. She leaves with balloons. She returns and runs into Daniel and they briefly touch. She offers tickets to a concert and thinks Carly would like it too. It’s obvious by the look on his face that this wasn’t exactly what he had in mind. She offers the tickets to Carly but she’s too tired. Jennifer continues to run into Daniel physically. He says he wants to spend the evening with a woman he could have something with. Her cell rings and it’s Hope. She learns that Ciara ran away with Theo.

Outside the hospital Maxine runs into Carly. She has the posters about the missing children. Carly drops her stuff and realizes she wants to help Bo through this.

Philip is at the DiMera mansion with Parker. Kate says that he’s going to give Parker more than she gave him and they hug. He promises to call and send photos. He leaves with Parker.

I'm sad to see Philip go, can't wait for his scenes. This looks like a great episode. I will comment later again.

What the heck is going on with Philip! I would have thought he would have a better exit than that. I really feel sorry for Choloe; how many of us have had one too many and said (or done) some things we should not have? I don't know why the writers would have Parker totally taken away for Choloe; no matter what, Choloe is still Parker's mother! Philip of all people should know better. So now what, is Parker going to come back to the show a teenager the next time we see him? I love DAYS but sometime, it leaves me scratching my head for answers. Still not watching 'cause I can't tape it, but I am reading your posts, keep 'um coming! Have a good day, time for me to clock in and start working!

Actually it makes sense to me. Chloe gets drunk and shoots her mouth off. Philip is angry and responds. He's not dead so I bet he'll be back...in one form or another.

Wow, great episode. But I don’t like Philip’s exit. As people said, it’s not the first time that Chloe and Kate fight. Kate even tried to kill her. Oh and Chloe was drunk so I think that Philip’s being unreal. Chloe had PPD and almost killed herself so just give this woman a break. The writers really need to learn how to write decent exits because this was not the exit that JKJ deserved. He has been a part of this show for so many years and then we see him go like this. I don’t believe for a second that Philip would just leave with Parker. I do want to give some credit to JKJ and NB for these well-acted scenes, they both did a great job. I will miss you Philip Kiriakis.

I can totally appreciate our difference of opinions as far as liking of characters goes. As I like Melanie and I know that most don't...LOL. However, Chloe has completely done this to herself. She has been insecure for a very long time...since ghoul girl days. So this is not out of character for her to go off the deep end. It really does matter that she goes and has drinks in the middle of the day when she is already on thin ice for custody of her son. It seems selfish to me. I know that Kate's motives were malicious, but seriously, I would not want my kid left with Chloe at this point. She needs way more help than she is willing to admit. And having a mate to support her can't always be the answer. People have to learn to live with themselves, by themselves sometimes.

I think Phillip is highly offended that he has gone above and beyond to have her still have 100% access to Parker when he knows by law he shouldn't, yet she ungratefully shoots her mouth off that she would run away with Parker, not caring about the fact that all these loving supportive people would never see him again. I understand it was said in a moment of weakness, but in wine there is truth. So, somewhere deep down inside, she really feels like that.

I used to not like Chloe, but at this point I just feel sorry for her...not in a she should have Parker way, but in a she really needs serious help way.

And one more thing That was not the first time Chloe ran off to the bar in the middle of the day to drown her sorrows. That cannot always be her answer to her problems if she is trying to prove that she is responsible enough to take care of Parker.

I think this time without him will be bleak, but I think Chloe will be better for it in the end.

The Engineer Mom - I, also, like Mel... coz she has spunk!! The writers could do a better job w/ her s/l. They have her so mature in one area and so immature in another area.

I like Chloe, but Chloe still needs help!! A few pills and a few doc visits did not cut it. There is no way she should have custody of baby Parker. Let me tell you, she would NEVER babysit for g-children). IMO, Chloe blew her chance for "mother of the year!"
Even though Chloe's postpartum depression was given a good prognosis, you do not mix meds & alcohol, (as Daniel TOLD her)! Chloe, once AGAIN, is wallowing in her insecure "woe is me" syndrome making bad choices. It was Chloe who called Kate!! As I said before, Chloe needs to get a grip, stand up and be counted for and give Kate a run for her money! Where's her intestinal fortitude? "Make a plan and execute it through to fruition; access all of your resources! For heaven sakes, Chloe, the risk involved is worth the potential of the ultimate reward. Baby Parker!

Albeit Philip is right in what he said, he is also Chloe's last hope. IMO, Philp is taking drastic measures, but then_ that's the way his farewell exit was written!!!! (Writers, how would Philip feel if Chloe took her life)?
    Bring him back!!

It's amazing! Jen, who recently had her heart removed by prison butcher doctor, Lee, does not have a scar... is she or isn't she a member of the zipper club??

Doc Manning is having another rough week! I love that Crystal Chappell is getting to tackle this storyline w/o Bo (keep it that way)!

I betcha Niclole won't be able to see Taylor & EJ kissing through the limo's tinted windows! DRAT!

    OOPS!
Meant to say, 'she would NEVER babysit for my grandchildren!'

    Hello everyone,
I can’t believe that we just got an episode without Rafe/Roborafe. Another thing that doesn’t happen that much. So I enjoyed this episode. I think that it’s good that the storylines are moving ahead.

So Melanie was attacked and the man was revealed to be Arianna’s killer. I think that it’s great that this case is solved although I think it’s a little too late. It’s no surprise that Dario rescued Melanie again. I still don’t know what to think of these two. And what I still don’t get is why this masked man is after Melanie? What’s the whole point of that? Well I don’t have much more to say on this one.

I’m enjoying Carly’s storyline and I think it’s actually well written. It’s totally understandable that Carly deals with what she’s been through in her past. I love the build-up of this story and that Bo’s not involved. At least not at this point. I’m still not liking Jen/Daniel and I think that I never will. I do understand that Jen needs something else to do in Salem besides giving advise but I just don’t like how everyone’s trashing Jack. Jen should’ve fought for her marriage and not give it up like that. Who knows what Jack is into? I hope that he will return down the road and that there’s a good explanation for his absence. I would prefer Carly with Daniel. Oh and I almost forgot to mention Maxine, I just love her. Give this woman a contract please and do something with this talent.

EJ and Taylor continue to disgust me. Are we forced to believe that EJ is actually in love with Taylor? I really liked Ejole and I’m sad to see another couple being trashed. Let’s just hope that Nicole will catch these two together. Although I’m 100% sure that she won’t but well we are supposed to believe she will. I hate how they continue to torture us. Get it over with, let Nicole find out and let her slap the hell out of EJ and Taylor. Because man they deserve that.

So today another great character left. I will miss Philip a lot. I hope that we can see the actor elsewhere. But okay let’s go to the story that made him leave Salem. I think that I have to agree that this could be handled much better. Sorry guys but I’m not buying that Philip just took Parker away from Chloe and left town. I know that Chloe is a mess right now and that she can’t raise Parker on her own and I know that she said horrible things to Kate. We all know what Kate & Chloe did to one another, and they are both not innocent. Kate knows exactly what to say to Chloe to make her lose it. I know that Chloe was acting totally irresponsible by drinking while being on meds. But however I don’t think that Philip does the right thing by taking her child from her. Does he want her to go off the deep end again? I get where his anger is coming from but I think that he’s acting like a bastard. Philip should’ve just forced Chloe to get help instead of taking her child and leave her heartbroken. No mother needs to be forced to say goodbye to her child like that !!

Well I need to say something positive so I will; I do appreciate that Phil actually said goodbye to Victor & Kate oh and I have to agree that the acting was excellent. I just hope that we get to see Philip Kiriakis again in the future.

Just a little 2 cents on my part Let's not forget that Phillip (as much as we love the actor) has been portrayed as a bastard many a time (including the whole Claire drama). So, I think that this is really not THAT unbelievable or out of character for him.
