Daniel saves Jenn, Chloe refuses to feed Parker, and Bo and Carly break up.
Jennifer flatlines after taken off life support at the prison. Her heart starts beating again so she’s sewn up. The EMT take her to the hospital and Daniel says he’s proud of Melanie who did the work of an entire OR team.
Kate finds Chloe at Maggie’s place to see Parker. She notices a prescription for Chloe but Chloe tells her to mind her own business. Kate claims to worry about Chloe and offers to take care of Parker until she feels better. Chloe assumes Kate’s trying to manipulate her into taking her baby. Kate says she wants to help her and ensure Philip’s there to help her share the burden. Chloe says Parker’s not a burden. The baby cries and Chloe lets Kate hold him.
Nicole finds Taylor at the pub. Taylor’s headed to the bus station. Nicole says their mother called and made her feel guilty. They order drinks. Nicole orders a dirty martini and Taylor a diet pop. Nicole rolls her eyes and admits she’s afraid of her past and her family, especially their father. She reminds her sister that Brandon was beaten while she was Locker Room Lolita. Taylor got a free pass. They weren’t destined to bond. Nicole gives her money for a hotel and asks her to forget about her. Taylor doesn’t want it. She wants to spend time together while she sorts things out. Nicole feels rotten about how she treated her sister and walks out. Taylor vows to pay her back and bumps into Abe. She says she’s leaving on a bus but she’s late, so he offers her to stay with him and Lexi.
Maggie races into the hospital to find Jennifer, but Maxine tells her Daniel’s at the prison infirmary. Victor suddenly shows up and holds a sobbing Maggie, telling her to be strong. He tries to get news from the prison but gets nothing. They discuss how today is the anniversary of Mickey’s death. She asks, "How many people can you lose and still stay the one that they loved?" Victor says she has stayed that person. He knows. She’s still the person that Mickey loved and the best person he knows. Later, Daniel rushes in with Jennifer, saying to Maggie and Victor that Jenn could reject her own heart. They have to wait and see. Melanie arrives, greets Maggie and goes for coffee. Victor offers to drive her home to get a bag but Maggie doesn’t want anymore drama, and doesn’t think Chloe deserves any. Victor doesn’t want any either.
At SPD, Carly’s shocked to learn Ben Walters is a part of the organ harvesting. She switches gears by telling Bo that she thinks she saw the real Hope today. They had a good talk. Abe interrupts to update them on Jenn. Abe is trying to get Bo released but it’s a challenge and says they have to keep Hope temporarily in county jail. Carly gets a call from Daniel who tells her Jenn made it through surgery. Abe leaves and Carly tells Bo she is breaking off with him. She asks him to be happy for the time they had together because she is. She cries a little and asks that they handle things with class. He says, "If you really want this, is it wise to make me love you any more than I already do?" Roman interrupts. Carly can leave. She kisses Bo and thanks him for the memories. He tears up. Carly leaves and Roman says they need to keep Hope out of prison. Roman agrees to tell Hope that Jennifer made it through the procedure. After Roman leaves, Bo snorts, struggling not to cry.
Maggie and Victor arrive and see Kate snuggling Parker. Chloe doesn’t want to feed the baby so Maggie goes off to do it and takes the boy to Chloe’s room after. Chloe’s in bed and doesn’t want to rock her baby so Maggie leaves, sadly. Downstairs, Kate is worried about Chloe. Kate thinks it’s wonderful that Chloe can’t handle feeding her own child. The baby belongs with them but Victor says he can’t help her. Kate hates how Maggie makes him less starchy. They need to get that baby from Chloe in order to have her declared unfit. Maggie returns and Kate leaves. Maggie decides to stay home. She refuses to let Kate go after Chloe when she’s this vulnerable and asks Victor to keep Kate in line. Upstairs in Chloe’s room, she sleeps through the baby crying.
At the hospital, Daniel and Mel sit side by side and Daniel says he wishes he knew her growing up. She falls asleep and Carly finds them.
