Brady walks in on an interesting scene at the hospital, Bo and Hope hear a noise outside the cabin, and Chloe offers Carly to move in.
At SPD, the warden asks Roman if he’s been helping Bo aid in Hope’s escape. Roman resents the question. He’s already issued an APB for the pair. They bicker at each other and Rafe says there’s obviously been a mistake. Jane calls Rafe stupid and Roman blows a gasket on her and tells her to shut up. They watch Bo and Hope’s escape video. Rafe’s in awe, causing the warden to tell him he must be new here - Bo has done this in the past! Roman comments that was a long time ago and they bicker some more. After she leaves, Roman asks Rafe to step in as acting Commissioner in order to ensure the department can be a part of the manhunt. Since he’s not a Brady, they’ll be able to help Bo. Roman has a bad feeling about this. They need to find Bo and Hope before they do.
Outside the mansion, Vivian tells Nicole that she’s going to suffer for what she did to her starting tonight. Nicole sees the photos of her having sex with Brady and brushes it off, saying they’ve an off and on again romance. Vivian grins. She knows about Nicole’s arrangement with EJ. Nicole grabs the photos and leaves and Vivi goes back into the house where Gus tells her he found EJ DiMera for her.
Brady’s on the pier, leaving Nicole a message to meet on his grandfather’s yacht for their next tryst. Maggie comes upon him, wondering what’s going on. Brady tells him about Vivian taking control of Titan and the mansion. At least Vivian’s not out to kill, but she wants them to suffer. Death is not the endgame, he tells Maggie, who says this doesn’t make her feel any better. Later, Brady calls Nicole and learns she’s at the hospital.
Stefano finds EJ at Johnny’s bedside. EJ didn’t want Lexi to call him but fills him in on what’s been happening with his grandson. Stefano’s visibly upset but EJ says Johnny will make a complete recovery. EJ blames Samantha. Everything she touches goes wrong. Stefano agrees but Sami didn’t do this. EJ tells him Sami will never see her kids again. By the nurse’s station, Daniel finds a distracted Carly. She looks as though she’s been crying, so he takes her home.
Adrienne babysits Parker and thinks maybe they should let Daniel and Chloe think he’s their baby. Carly and Daniel arrive and relieve her. She goes home and Daniel and Carly hear a special news bulletin about Hope’s escape. Daniel can tell Carly’s not surprised and is sure that Bo will come home to her. Carly is doubtful and realized what she and Bo had wasn’t right. They both kept secrets from each other.
At the fishing cabin, Hope urges Bo to turn himself in. Though it was Jennifer she was trying to call that day the warden caught her, she tells Bo it was Ciara. She just wanted to hear her voice. Hope opens up about how she treated Bo and the mistakes she has made. She apologizes. He tells her he made some as well and they can work it out some other time. They need to focus on the task at hand, now. They hear a noise outside.
Nicole rushes into the DiMera mansion looking for EJ but Mary says he’s still not back and something terrible has happened.
Chloe sits at the pub smiling to herself as she looks at a Christmas present. Adrienne finds her there. The waitress interrupts and tells them Caroline’s going to freak out. She explains that Bo broke Hope out of prison.
Nicole arrives at the hospital to EJ’s side. Vivian barges in and wants to talk about the despicable person standing next to him. She tells EJ that Nicole broke their little arrangement but EJ tells her his son has had cancer. He doesn’t want to hear what she has to say. The only thing on his mind is his son. Vivian takes off and EJ tells Nicole to keep her issues to herself. He tells her to go away when she asks after Johnny but she reminds him she was a mother to Johnny for a while and loves him. She tears up and tells him he has to let people who love his son help him. EJ tells her Johnny’s sleeping because of the medication for the pain but that they think he’s cancer free. They watch him through the window and EJ tells her how helpless he feels. Brady arrives unseen and watches Nicole rub EJ’s back. He wonders what that’s about.
Vivian returns to the mansion and tells Gus her plan to destroy Nicole didn’t go according to plan but she still has plans to torture everyone the way they tortured her.
At the prison, Lee worries that Hope will tell SPD about what they’re doing at the prison. Jane is worried to and thinks it’d be better off if Hope was dead. Her APB on the couple has instructions to shoot to kill.
At Daniel’s place, Carly breaks down in sobs as Chloe walks in. Chloe comforts her and tells her she’s staying with them for a while.

"I'm going to tell you everything I know under one condition," Carly tells Rafe.
Bo holds his gun out and says, "Stop right there."
"I have everything I need to look after the children. Samantha is out," EJ tells his father.
