Days Of Our Lives Chandler Massey Recast as 'Will'.

    Monday, December 07 2009

    (IMDB)
Soaps.com has learned that Dylan Patton, who has played Will Horton since Friday February 27, 2009 has been let go in order to recast him with Chandler Massey. This is the fifth actor to take over the part. Dylan Patton was recast after Christopher Gerse played the part of Will for five years.

Massey has been seen in Primetime, playing on such shows as "One Tree Hill," "Army Wives," and "Eastbound & Down." No word as of yet on the date he'll take over the role. As always, please keep an eye on our Days Comings and Goings for all the latest Salem casting news!

I am not happy. I love Dylan he has been GREAT!! My daughters love him also. Dylan has been the best so far and I will miss him. I have been watching days since 1979 when I was 9.

maybe this one will bring some of that spunk you know Will has to have! Look at how Sami and Lucas were at that age!

I hate when they, the powers that be, do this. I was enjoying Dylan as Will. He became a solid character able to carry a story line AND had developed an onscreen bond with Sami. If his story was going to change, he should have been given an opportunity to change with the role. I just hope this new kid does as well as Dylan. BTW, thanks for the story.

dang this sucks. dylan is the best actor out of the younger teen crowd. they have absolutely no reason to recast him. after dylan's last airdate i'm going to team chad/mia. i've seen the recast guy in other things & i'm not impressed. this greatly upsets me. i'm gonna miss cute will.

I wish Dylan all the best. I always had a difficult believing his character. Massey seems to have more acting experience & I do like his look.

I am so upset and disappointed!! I really like Dylan!! I am so sick of the writers constantly recasting!! You get used to one character and then they remove them. I felt the same way when they did that to the Arianna character. I like Lindsey Hartley but she could have been cast as a new character instead of taking Felicia's role. I was just getting used to Felicia when they replaced her.

My fiance (yes, my fiance likes DOOL along with me!), anyways...My fiance and I both LOVE Dylan as Will! This makes me very angry, actually. We liked the first Ari better as well, but.... I mean, Dylan is doing a great job on the show. Don't blame him for a lack of a good storyline!

I hate this decision. Dylan was the actor who endeared me to the Will Character. Chandler is nice looking but he doesn't fit the Will Character type. Will usually has a tortured look about him because of all the stuff he's been thru mainly his mother Sami! This new guy Chandler looks like an average kid who is as innocent as the "fresh driven snow"! Don't like it. Please bring Dylan back!!!
