Louise Sorel (Vivian) Returns to Days Of Our Lives!

    Monday, July 27 2009

    Louise Sorel (NBC)
Last February, did a "Where are they now? piece on Vivian and Ivan (Sorel and G'Vera). We have been hoping that the piece would generate interest amongst fans and that the show would give some thought to re-hiring Louise Sorel and Ivan G'Vera (Ivan Marais) as additions to Salem and now, we're happy to bring you news that though Ivan G'Vera has not been re-hired, to play comical Ivan G'Vera, Days of Our Lives has hired Louise Sorel to return to Salem and portray wicked and humorous Vivian Alamain, who is confirmed to be returning this September, around the same time that Crystal Chappell returns as Carly Manning.

Sorel, no stranger to soaps, played the part of Vivian from 1992-2000, and during this time, she has made a lot of enemies in Salem and kept a lot of soap fans entertained. It'll be interesting to find out where she fits in with Kate, Victor, Carly, Stefano, upon her return. Is your head spinning just considering the options? Who do you want to see her play opposite the most?

The studio tells us that as of yet, they do not have a set date, but when they do, will update this story with more news on the return of one of our favorite Daytime villainesses.

Awesome!! I just loved to hate Vivian. Her and Ivan were just so comical. I'm SO looking forward to Carly coming back to the show and now Vivian. Hopefully, the writers can do something great w/these characters, and I won't be disappointed. Still miss J&M though!

Cool, I'd like to see her give Kate a taste of her own medicine, and to have Kate realize just who she is up against. It'd be nice to see her and Stefano hook up (so to speak).

YES! I've missed her so much!!!! I can't wait to see her and Carly. I've enjoyed Carly's portrayer on Guiding Light and missed her on here!!!! I hope they bring back Eric soon, too!

This is great news. Keep bring back some of the old characters. Next should be Celeste, John, n Marlena.

The characters of Vivian and Ivan were fun and funny, but I am still upset that some of these older characters are being brought back but John and Marlena are still gone. Bring back John and Marlena, and NOT with any other actors than Drake and Dierdre

What can I say about Vivian coming back to Days' but "AWESOME". I sure have missed her and her antics. I would love to see Vivian and Kate tangle and have her take Kate down. Vivian could do it. Welcome back Vivian!

All I can say is that this soap will never be the same without Marlena and John. In all of the story lines there is an empty story. Bringing other people back just shows that the best duo, John and Marlena are still missed.
