It’s been mere weeks since Mary Beth Evans was portraying Kayla Johnson on DOOL, and though we know she is still making her delicious pies, we wondered what else the talented actress has been up to. Soaps.com has learned that she has written an article called "Easy Entertaining" for the spring edition of Hybrid Mom Magazine.
Mary Beth starts her piece by writing, "Getting friends together for an intimate gathering of great food, wine and conversation has been one of the highlights of my life. It should be an enjoyable time for everyone, including me (the hostess, chef and cleanup crew) but that wasn’t always the case. In the past I'd bring out the latest issues of my favorite cooking magazines, shop for countless ingredients and proceed to spend the entire day in the kitchen." It sounds more like a chore, than good times right? Feel free to read the rest of the article here, under the 'easy entertainment' section, where Mary Beth discusses how she changed the way she entertained and how much more fun she's having these days, because of this. If you're at Barnes & Noble or another local book store, you can pick up a copy of the magazine.
Mary Beth provides a few good tips for entertaining that we think anyone would benefit from!
Update: Mary Beth has posted her first of what is soon to be many, columns at Hybrid Mom. Read the column, here! Her column, "Ask Mary Beth", will debut within the next several weeks!

October 1, Mary Beth blogs from warmer climates than where I'm situated at in Toronto. She's still in Italy! Just from this bit of news, I want to be there with her! She says, "Friday morning brought another scorcher. Italy in August is a hot one! That is why so many of the locals go elsewhere this time of year but we were committed to seeing as much as we could, so we headed out.
We had planned to go to the Farmers market, before catching an afternoon train to Rome. This was something I was really looking forward to. The wonderful thing about Florence is you can walk to everything." Read more about her time in Florence, on Hybrid Mom.
October 8 Mary Beth is still in Italy. Rome, to be exact, and she is discussing how she started her first full day there, and a trip to the famous Barcaccia Fountain, amongst other things! "We started our first full day in Rome with the customary "included breakfast". The Locarno hotel had a beautiful spread with meats, cheeses, eggs and all the rest. We were seriously on our way to gaining some weight, but enjoying the decadence of these delicious feasts." To read more, keep going back over to on Hybrid Mom.
