"Days of Our Lives" fans in Australia have something to be happy about. The series will be returning to the air waves of the southern continent. It was cut from the broadcasting schedule by the Nine network last April. Foxtel’s Arena channel has now picked up the series. Episodes will begin airing again on Tuesday April 15 at 12:50 PM AEST. This will mark the first time that the US and Australia will be airing the same episodes on the same day. Starting on April 1, the network will air 10 specially selected episodes to bring viewers up to speed on what has been happening in Salem over the past few months.

After airing for 45 years on the channel Nine in Australia, the network has pulled the plug on "Days Of Our Lives." According to TV Tonight, the network decided to axe the show in Australia for commercial reasons in spite of the fact that it has consistently performed well in its timeslot. Sony will be looking for a new network to air the series in Australia.
