Va va va voom, Jenn! (NBC)
    Deconstructing "DOOL" from February 4-8:

We saw a truckload of the Sami, Kristen and Daniel show this week and the theme of the week was putting others "on notice."

John set the mood for the week.
John dropped by on his brother Stefano in the Italian version of the DiMera mansion, to call him "Papa" and put him "on notice." He hasn’t bested Stefano yet, but he’s still somehow confident that Stefano is shaking in his Italian loafers. He’s delusional.

    Sami and EJ:
The kids were once again conveniently on a sleepover, so Samanther asked EJ to have their own sleepover. After six years, the sexpectations of them being together now that they're both in love were high. Thoughts of orchids falling from the sky, sparks flying out of their ears, violinists magically appearing out of nowhere and better lighting were in my head. Instead, everything was downplayed. Even Samanther’s post-sex profession of love was rather anti-climactic. All that jibber-jabbering after "I love you," was unnecessary and sort of ruined it for me: "No, that's not right. I mean I do but what I should say right now is that I trust you." Shhhhh! They both decided to keep their affair private – maybe for the children’s sake though they never did say, yet both went directly to their siblings and blurted it out! While EJ got Kristen's support, Brady - who has been offended at judged for dating Kristen was incensed. The siblings lambasted each other for the mate of their choosing which was really funny but it was asinine for Sami to say, "Every relationship has its ups and downs," in regards to the awful things she and EJ have done to each other over the years and they’ve not really had a "relationship" so I found the wording a little odd. I’d have far preferred her to come up with something about forgiveness rather than act as if it’s normal, but then again, since neither EJ nor Sami are normal, I suppose her reaction makes sense! I do hope we’re in for a fun ride with both of them being devious. I’d hate for EJ to stay too straight and narrow because we already have a Rafe.

Rafe and Sami’s knock down drag out fight.
Rafe finally showed how much he’s truly hurting. This was a very real bitter and venomous battle – really well done. It has to hurt that Sami moved on so fast with EJ when he thought they’d be together a few short weeks ago. Rafe assured her his anger doesn’t stem from jealousy but because he fell in love with a woman that doesn't exist. This may have been the best line of the week and he’s right. He did. Not only was Sami trying really hard to be what he wanted when they were together, Rafe encouraged it. Similarly to how Sami told EJ that he has finally become the man she thought he could be. It's one thing to want to become a better person but we can't change people and people like EJ and Sami don't really change that much.

    Love triangle.
It’s disappointing that the only thing they’ve got Chloe doing is stirring up trouble for Dannifer. So far it’s not helping me get invested in Dr. Tan and Her Royal Hortonness mostly because Jennifer’s been about as exciting as a piece of driftwood lately. Chloe and Daniel were good together once but she’s stepping over some pretty big boundaries and crying wolf which isn’t endearing me to her, either. Isn’t Daniel the least bit curious especially now that he has a child of his own, about who his biological father is? Unless his biological father is the man who raised him. Read Nadia Bjorlin’s interview to find out what the actress has to say about Chloe’s strained friendship with Nicole, what Chloe really feels, and what’s to come with Nancy’s return.

    Young Will: Chandler's brother! (NBC)
    Like mother like daughter.
Abby got dressed down and buttoned up tight to go on the worst date in the world with Cameron, where they waxed philosophically about how ‘gluten makes food taste good’. What? Right away I can feel the pull again to reunite her with Chad!

    Meanwhile, back at the rectory...
Kristen told Brady she loves him – to death. That’s a little ominous. She's really pulling out all the stops to get Brady to accept her marriage proposal but hasn't she given any thought to the fact that his fiancée died last year? It can't be easy for him to move on to marriage agin even if his family gave them their blessing. It looks like Kristen has a little respect for Nicole after her attempt to break her and Brady up but where she gets the idea that Nicole is into Eric is beyond me, because we as viewers haven’t seen this yet at all. What is Nicole supposed to be getting excited over? He’s a priest! He’s also about as dull as Jennifer Horton and so far there's no chemistry between Father Eric and Nicole. Vote! Do you want Nicole with Father Eric?

    Young innocent William stewing.
This naïve version of Will is driving me a little batty. Thank goodness he has Sami The Shark to defend him. He’s going to need her. How is it that he hasn’t told a single person about Sonny and Brian? Did it seem as though Sonny was about to make up with him when he learned the real reason Will was going to dump his kid? I’d like to have seen Sonny torn about that one – feeling honoured that Will cares for him that deeply but also outraged that he could dump his own child for a guy. Maybe I’ve been seeing too much of Jenn’s strong moral fiber lately but it could have been a much better scene if there was a little emotion put into it.

Nick’s vendetta against the "gay boys."
Gabi being completely blind to her fiancé hating on her best friend for being gay is getting old. Maybe it’ll come out that he’s still married to China and he won’t be able to marry Gabi. It’d be nice to see a twist in the paternity test – like if we learned Andrew or someone else was the baby daddy instead of Will. Hey, it could happen! Or maybe that guy who stabbed Nick will get out of jail and find him!

Did everyone enjoy Chandler Massey's brother, Christian Massey as a young 14-year old Will?

Check out Matt’s Matt’s SOF Musings. "When they [Anne and Chloe] failed to hunt them [Jenn and Dan] down, the diva suddenly noticed that Parker was severely ill. Luckily she'd arrived just in time since Maggie hadn't even noticed."

LOL I should point out that I don't think Rafe is completely straight and narrow but he's not a bad boy like EJ and I want EJ to still be our resident bad boy and Rafe to be more on the straight and narrow!

    AND I hate Jennifer's new look--Blah..LOL

I thought the thing with John and Stefano was weird. No purpose for it and I really didn’t hear any threats so why was this scene needed?
I noticed that the paring of Sami and EJ (which made me gag) was romantic music playing, champagne being poured, the bedroom (which seemed very large) had all these flowing things and it was made for a movie. When she was with Rage they had a beer, the theme from roller derby was playing and they were on a dirty couch. Now which paring gets the award for being romantic? But I still think she loves Rafe. Even when she was with EJ, she had that moment. But since Sami has this know it all attitude and quick temper, she will stay where she is and I truly hope she does and gets burned.
I loved Rafe’s line to Sami as well. Watching Sami’s face when he said that I do think it hurt. She was a nicer and truthful person when she was with Rafe. Now she is back with EJ and she is scheming again. She is the last person that should have that baby. Carolyn is getting tired and admitted she can’t take care of them. Besides she has an illness (Alzheimer’s) that is nothing to sneeze at. She could forget at any moment who those kids are. I just hope Sami doesn’t get pregnant again.
Jennifer is so getting on my nerves. She walks around Salem like the sainted one talking about how bad others are and no one can come back at her. I really wish her and her dumb daughter would leave town. Go see her 30 year old son that lives alone in London, maybe he needs their guidance. And I’m so very tired of Abby being a virgin! Good lord is this really a story line? Who cares? How much longer do we have to hear she is afraid this guy or that guy will find out, really! Can’t these writers figure out a different s/l on this? And I really want Chad to remain alone. I didn’t like him when he first came to the show, the whole story with Melanie was silly then she left and now we have to watch his sad face and he and Sonny destroy Gaby. What she did was wrong but she had no idea that Andrew was nuts and tried to stop him. Chad had done worse things so let it go.
I think there is a story we don’t know yet (or maybe the writers haven’t written yet) that Nick was raped in prison and maybe other things that happened to him so he doesn’t like gay people or trust anyone. He was young and not very big so it would have been hard to defend yourself from the bigger inmates. I’m still trying to be his fan since I liked him before.
I think that Kristen is going to end up getting hurt. Then daddy dearest will return and take revenge.
Sorry didn’t mean to write a novel!

Didn't mean to say Rage, that was what he had when he saw her in the park!

I too am so over Jennifer. She and Daniel have about as much chemistry and oil and water. I would rather clean my bathrooms than watch those two together. I'm not a fan of Abby either. Maybe because her S/L is lacking right now. I would vote for Gabby, Abby, Jenn, Cameron to exit. Days needs to go back to its roots with the veterans and real stories we can get invested. Stories that develop slowly and aren't thrown in your face.

Yes that was Chandler' s 13 year old brother in the flashback of young Will. Christian is almost as tall as Chandler. I thought he did a good job. Chandler' s contract runs through December 2013 and I read he is hoping to stay with the show so hopefully the show renews his contract.

Yes I had the feeling Sonny was going to suggest that he and Will start over but then Will suggested them being friends so Sonny changed his mind. I think Will thinks Sonny has moved on and wants to be with Brian. But I think Sonny would rather be with Will. We know that Sonny and Brian have a date on Valentine's Day but I am hoping that Sonny Will be thinking of Will and tell Brian that he is not interested in seeing him anymore and Brian Will get mad and say something mean about Will and Sonny Will see how Brian really is and dump him for good.

Nick's Gay boy 1 and Gay boy 2 comment (along with other equally nauseating statements) make him unbearable to watch. I get that we are not suppose to like him, but the sooner he slips up in front of a group of Salemites, the better I will like it.

I wanted Jen and Dan to be a couple. The writers have done a pathetic job. It's not lack of chemistry (because actors can actually act and make that happen on screen); it's the "dial it in" writing that the writers are doing. Jennifer hasn't ALWAYS been this uptight - its the writers decision. Daniel doesn't have to be so obtuse about Chloe's machinations - it's the writers decision. These are good actors with an abysmal storyline. Even Brad and Angelina couldn't make this a sizzling, lover's story. Writers better go back to the drawing board. They are wasting good talent.

I'm sorry but it's really hard to care about any of the men on this show. I find them weak and very undesirable. Brady is so clueless it is VERY unsexy, same with Daniel who falls for everything Nicole and Chloe throw at him - I hate stupid men. EJ has always run to daddy when things go wrong and although that hasn't happend recently, I am afraid I lost interest in him as an interesting partner a long time ago. They can take off their shirts as much as they want, I'm not buying it! They have been emasculated and what a shame.
