    Days Of Our Lives' Alison Sweeney In The MLB All-Star Game Charity 5K.

    "Days Of Our Lives" star Alison Sweeney (Sami) is also the Stand Up To Cancer Ambassador. She will be running in the MLB All-Star Game Charity 5K & Fun Run along with Major League Baseball, Hall of Famer George Brett, former Royals Mike Sweeney and Jeff Montgomery, and "American Idol" winner David Cook. The event will take place on Sunday July 8 in downtown Kansas City’s Power and Light District. The 5K will begin at 7:30 AM while the family-friendly 1-mile Fun Run will start at 8:00 AM.

    The price to participate in the 5K is $30 per adult and $25 for children 12 and under. The Fun Run entrance fee is $25 per adult and $20 for children 12 and under. 100% of net proceeds from the event will be donated to three charities supporting cancer research and awareness – Prostate Cancer Foundation, Stand Up To Cancer and the Greater Kansas City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
