EJ sneaks into the DiMera mansion, Will gets booked at the police station, and Sami and Lucas conspire to keep secrets about Will.

EJ arrives home to the mansion. Rafe greets him at the door and EJ asks him what he's doing in his house. Rafe shares that he's on assignment. He refuses to let EJ in as it's a crime scene. Rafe wonders what he needs. EJ replies it's personal and that he doesn't take orders from him. Rafe threatens to arrest him for interfering with a criminal investigation. EJ laughs it off before telling Rafe he's on dangerous ground. EJ mentions the DNA switch on Nicole's baby. He'll take Rafe down if he had anything to do with it. Rafe reminds EJ that he's a suspect in Stefano's death and of the motives he had. EJ leaves and sneaks in through the back door. He closes the doors to the living room, opens a secret wall safe and takes out an envelope. Rafe hears something and storms into the living room to check it out while EJ hides. Rafe takes a phone call about Will's arrest and runs out. EJ leaves with the envelope in hand.

Jack catches up with Jenn at the square. He grabs her and shares the good news that his memoirs are to be published. Jenn is proud of him. They sit down and Jack keeps chatting about it. She wonders if he's going to take off to New York which prompts Jack to say no and list off his to do list including planning their wedding. Jenn is happy they finally figured it out. She professes her love to him.

At home, Lexi and Abe discuss her part in planning Stefano's funeral. Lexi thinks it's something she needs to do to make her final peace. She admits that her father made it hard for her to love him and remembers all the strings attached to his love. She breaks down in tears. Even with all his faults, she loved him. He was such a tortured soul but she knows he loved her. Abe consoles her with a hug. He feels bad she didn't get the chance to say goodbye to him. Everybody thought Stefano DiMera would never really die. Lexi becomes more upset by thinking that someone close to them killed him. Abe is sorry he left his gun there but Lexi doesn't blame him. She confesses to thinking it was a blessing what happened since no parent wants to lose a child. Soon Jack and Jenn stop by. They are happy she feels well enough to see them. They offer their condolences. They chat about Jack's book before Abe leaves to run errands and Jack goes to see Theo. Through tears the girls chat about Lexi's impending death. Lexi admits how hard it is, seeing Abe's pain hurts her the most. She shares that she doesn't have much time left. When Jack joins them he and Jenn assure Lexi that Theo will always remember her.

At the station Roman reads Will his rights. Sami goes off on her dad about arresting his own grandson but Roman continues by listing off the evidence, the fingerprints on the murder weapon and gun powder residue on his hands. Will tries to explain. He admits he fired the gun he bought but not the one at the mansion. Lucas advises Will not to speak without a lawyer. Roman suggests to Sami that Carrie represent Will. Sami announces she's not bringing Carrie into this. They have other family members who are lawyers so Lucas leaves to call Justin. Before Roman takes him to the booking room, Will swears to Sami he didn't do it. Later, Lucas comes back to chat with Sami. He reminds Sami he spent years covering up for Will when he shot EJ. He's worried that if Marlena knows she might mention it to Roman. Elsewhere in the station, Will gets fingerprinted and his mug shot taken. Roman and Officer Kent bring Will back to talk to his parents for a few minutes. When Roman and Kent leave, Lucas asks Will he has anything else to tell them. He tells them he only tested the gun he bought, not to kill anyone. He asks them, "You guys believe me, right?" They want to help him with a story that makes sense. Roman comes in to take Will away. Later, as Will sits alone in a room at the station, EJ wanders in.

Kayla runs into Abe at the square. She sits down and asks if he's okay. She tells him that he can let his guard down with her since they're old friends. He assures her he's okay but admits he doesn't know what he'll do without Lexi. Kayla asks about Stefano's murder. He doesn't know much. She offers Abe her support. Abe takes a call from Roman who shares the news of Will's arrest. Kayla asks Abe if he thinks Will did it. Abe says no and he knows that for a fact.
At the pub, Lucas and Sami discuss Will's arrest. Sami shares that Stefano was blackmailing Will. Lucas reminds her that no one can find out since that is a motive for murder. Rafe wanders by as Lucas tell Sami no one can find out it was Will, and not him, who shot EJ.
