Austin and Carrie bump into Rafe and Nicole, Abigail is saved by Cameron, and Gabi learns Will's secret.
Carrie and Austin chat about his day as they arrive at the pub. Carrie suggests an outdoor movie but Austin prefers something more private. They head inside and greet Rafe. "Wow man that is a man-sized bowl of ice cream you've got there. I never thought of you as the sprinkles type." Carrie points out the ice cream is for Nicole. Rafe goes off and Carrie and Austin get a table while Carrie tries to pry her eyes off Rafe. Nicole offers to leave and feels guilty that his relationship with Carrie is done because of their lies. Rafe insists he's fine but Nicole doesn't get how he can be so honorable all the time. Nearby, Carrie and Austin make plans to go home for dessert. Rafe admits it's a drag going home alone. He misses the chaos of living with the kids. They decide to go see the movie at the square.
At the Coffee Bean, Will wraps up a deal with a client of EJ's who hands over free tickets to some event. Gabi watches as Will accepts happily. When the client leaves, Gabi calls Will more confident and thinks it's thanks to his job. She butters him up and then asks him to help her break-up Melanie and Chad so she can be with Chad. Will smirks and gets sarcastic. Is she kidding him? "You're not like this." Gabi asks what being the good girl has gotten her. Why did he give up on them? Gabi blames herself for Will dumping her. Will tells her, "It was about me not knowing who I was." He confides that he's gay.
Chad and Melanie walk with Abby through the square. They tell her they've invited a guy along to the movies tonight. They think she'll like him. When Cameron turns up, he tells Abby how flattered he is but she didn't have to go through all the trouble of asking Chad to set them up. Abby protests that she is as surprised as he is. He acts like a wise-ass and when she's offended, he apologizes. Chad and Mel get some popcorn while they debate whether or not Cameron and Abby will hook up. The movie begins and everyone scarfs popcorn. Abby and Cam give each other looks and when Abby starts choking on popcorn, Cameron does the Heimlich. Abby's airwaves are cleared and she blasts Cameron, insisting she didn't need help. She runs off and Mel finds her. Abby groans about Cam's help and how embarrassed she is to have coughed up popcorn in front of strangers. Melanie thinks Cameron likes her. Abby goes into denial and admits she's still trying to figure out who she is, after the horrible things she did to Austin. Melanie can see she's hiding from life. Nicole and Rafe turn up. They discuss their lives in movie montages and Nicole hopes his movie montage is over soon. He deserves a happily ever after. Nic leaves Rafe behind.
Harold stops Kate from entering the great room at the DiMera mansion. She's there to pick up her belongings but Harold tells her Mr. DiMera had all of her effects removed. EJ interrupts asking to come in. "Or have my things been removed too?" Both he and Kate wonder what Stefano's been up to. Harold leaves and EJ informs her he knows she's out of a job. Kate rants about Sami but EJ says Stefano's her real enemy. He yells about Stefano not running this by him and asks what she did to make Stefano turn against her. He guesses she cheated. She doesn't want to discuss it. They can't figure out why Stefano's undermining EJ.
Marlena and John visit Bo at the hospital. Hope refuses to tell him what happened in Alamainia right now. They ponder Stefano's whereabouts. Outside, Stefano paces the corridor. A nurse arrives to take blood and kicks everyone out. They find Stefano waiting. He wants the original coin. John and Hope play dumb. Bo comes walking out in his hospital gown and stands up to Stefano's threats. Stefano makes fun of Bo and then exchanges threats with John. When Stefano leaves, everyone gives Bo answers.
Austin and Carrie return to the hotel room and make love. Afterward, Carrie sneaks out of bed while Austin sleeps.
Stefano walks in on EJ and Kate at home. He comments that misery really does love company. He invites them to leave but EJ wants answers. "Fun time is over Father." Stefano lights a cigar. "Really. I thought it had just begun."
Back at the square, Abby and Cam agree to start fresh. Chad and Mel watch the duo happily and then kiss. Rafe is about to leave the movie when it gets too corny and too close to reality when he spots Carrie.
