ABIGAIL DEVERAUX'S HISTORY
Abigail Johanna Devereaux is the only daughter to Jack and Jennifer Devereaux. She was named after Alice Horton's mother, Abigail and Jack's mother, Josephine. Abby was brought up very well by her parents and is a good, sweet girl.
After Abby's birth, she came down with aplastic anemia as a result of drinking polluted well water. When Jack discovered that he was responsible, he left town. Abby developed leukemia but a bone marrow donation from Austin Reed saved her life. Jen had been dating Peter Blake at this point, and Abby started to associate him with her father. When Jack came back, Abby and her mom moved to Africa for a few years. They lived in Ireland for a while as well and moved back to Salem after finding Bo Brady there (her honorary 'Uncle'). Jack soon followed and Abby hoped that the two would get back together. After relationships with Brandon Walker and Colin Murphy, Jen and Jack found their way back to each other and married. Abby was devastated when she heard her father had been murdered by the Salem Stalker (Marlena). Jen had to take Jack off life support and Abby blamed her for this, turning to her grandfather Vern for comfort. She was happy to find she was to have a little baby brother when Jen found she was pregnant and started to come around when new friend and boarder Patrick Lockhart made his appearance in Salem.
Abby was sent away when her mother went on the search for Jack, who was alive again but presumed dead. Jen and Abby saw many rough times before Jack came back to them. She had a new baby brother, Jack jr., and a new friend in Chelsea Benson Brady. Chelsea turned out to be a bad influence on Abby and she went through more rough times.
Eventually, Jack was found to be alive and the family was reunited. Jack became ill shortly after his return and almost died, before a miracle drug saved him. After, Jack and Jen moved to England with the baby and Abby stayed behind with Aunt Maggie. She now resides with her aunt and cousin/friend Nick Fallon, and is in love with Max Brady.
Abby is set to leave for Europe to visit her parents this summer. She wound up going to boarding school while away but returned in March to Salem, to stay. She met Chad by chance at Java, who was with Johnny, and assumed the boy was his son. She doesn't take kindly to 'boys getting high school girls pregnant' so they got off on the wrong foot. Once she apologized, they seemed to get along until he revealed he's a DiMera and then she judged him again. She got to know him a little and apologized for pre-judging. She and Chad have been friendly since, though he dislikes how she keeps judging his family. She is going in for a hospital intern this summer and is having issues as a cause of missing her brother JJ and worrying about her mother and father's divorce. Abby is now a hospital intern and is interested in Chad, but having issues accepting that he's a DiMera. Abigail has come a long way in a short time and has accepted Chad for who he is. They've created a loving relationship. Jack returned from Afghanistan, and she learned he was held hostage for a very long time. She was hurt and angered that he left them to follow a story, but after a while she seemed to forge a decent relationship with her father. When Chad accidentally kissed Melanie at the Halloween dance October 2011, thinking Mel was Abby, Abby became upset. Things seemed to go downhill after that and when she was reacquainted with Austin Reed. She became attracted to him. She couldn't stop thinking about him, though he only saw her as a friend. She and Chad broke up, after realizing that they didn't belong together, and Abigail learned he and Melanie were into each other. Abby was hurt and felt betrayed. She leaned on Austin for support and later became his teaching assistant. She fell for him and became obsessed. One night he got drunk and she pretended they had sex. He was beside himself for "cheating" on Carrie, but eventually it was learned that nothing happened. Abigail admitted she was lying. She was ashamed of herself but ultimately got back on the horse and started dating Dr. Cameron Davis. Things went slowly and one night he took her to her room for sex and she backed down. They broke up and she divulged to her mother and Gabi that she's a virgin. She didn't want Cameron to know. They eventually started dating again and she's now at the point where he could figure out her "secret."

Wednesday, June 19 2013: Train Wreck Of A Family.
In the park, EJ convinces Abigail not to say anything about the video of Sami beating on Bernardi. Abby leaves and EJ blows up, demanding Chad take care of his headstrong girlfriend. EJ leaves and Chad takes Sonny's call, asking him to meet.
Back at the hospital, Cameron and JJ's chat is interrupted by Abby. They go off to talk while JJ steals some drugs and leaves. Adrienne arrives at Will's room where he's holding Arianna. He talks up wanting to protect her even though he knows he doesn't have a lot of control over that. Adrienne knows how he feels but it's his responsibility to try. That's how she feels about her kids and why she's there. She begs him to dump her son. By the hub, Abby's almost in tears and tells Cameron she's keeping a secret for a friend that's eating at her. He advises she listen to her gut. She receives a text and leaves. Back in Will's room, Adrienne reminds him he lied to her son, broke his heart once, almost got Sonny killed, and now his mother's accused of murder. Whether or not he intends to, she calls it inevitable that he'll ruin Sonny's life. Will disagrees. He only wants Sonny's happiness. There's nothing she can do to stop them from being together. Adrienne tears up and calls him as selfish and self-destructive as his mother. She leaves and Will holds back the tears and tells Ari Adrienne is wrong about her daddy.
Tuesday, June 18 2013: Kristen Has Fangs, Horns, And A Tail.
From the cafe, Abby and Chad watch the video he took of Sami attacking Bernardi at the park. They're shocked he's the cop Sami shot. They argue about keeping the video secret. Chad says Sami was protecting Rafe, and reluctantly, Abby agrees to keep it hidden for now. They go find EJ.
Chad and Abby walk through the park. EJ's on his way and Chad says Abby can take off. She wonders if that means he doesn't trust her. He trusts her more than anyone - including his family. EJ arrives and watches the video. Things are tense and he tells them this had nothing to do with the shooting. Chad and Abby poke holes in this but he asks them to keep their mouths shut.
