Roman says yeah, she was railroaded just like this in the past. The judge asks him to forgo personal comments and Trask asks if Sami lied under oath. He gets angry and skirts the question until Trask gets permission to treat him as a hostile witness. He admits yes, Sami has lied in order to protect her son. Trask brings up Sami passing Lucas' son off as Austin's. This is stricken from the record but Sami mutters to Justin that the jury still heard it. Roman is forced to admit Sami's a liar. In court, Marge swears on the stand that the hundred grand wasn't Joe's. Justin asks where the money came from but she won't answer. She sobs that Joe was a hero. She bashes the DiMeras and EJ until the judge tells her to shut up or be remanded into custody. Marge bawls. She assumes the DiMeras gained access to Timmy's account. Marge is dragged from the stand after she starts screaming and carrying on. Sami feels awful but EJ assures her they've nothing to regret or feel guilty about. Next on the stand is Adrienne who reveals how she learned the hundred grand was in Timmy's account. Trask finds it a huge "coincidence" and tries to make it appear as though she's working on behalf of Justin. EJ cross examines Adrienne for Justin and makes it clear that Adrienne isn't working with the defense. If not for her, they wouldn't even be there. FBI agent Edward Craig is called. EJ goes pale and Justin tells Sami they've been set up. Craig tells Trask the hundred grand was deposited on August 22. Trask finds it curious considering Bernardi was killed June 11. It was deposited from an offshore account in the Cayman Islands. Trask stares at EJ pointedly and then they break for recess. Everyone looks grim but EJ promises she won't go to jail. Sami's taken to her cell and Justin says they're royally screwed. The jury thinks the whole thing is a set-up. They hate him, EJ, and Sami. Only a miracle could save Sami.

Marge Bernardi's let into the room. Adrienne finds Justin nearby. She'd like to work things out. She starts to cry. She misses him. They both hope after this trial is over that they can talk. She goes into the office holding Marge while Nick goes on the stand. Marge seethes asking how Adrienne could do this to her. Adrienne only wants justice but Marge is bitter and just wants Sami in jail for the rest of her life. In court, EJ and Justin agree it's best to stay clear of the subject of Will with Nick. Court resumes and Nick recounts the story of Sami stealing his money, him getting angry with her about it, and then Sami threatening him with a gun. Trask shows Nick the gun. He confirms that's the one and is forced to admit he had reason to believe she'd follow through because Sami said it wouldn't be the first time she shot someone. "And it wouldn't be the last," Trask adds. Justin cross examines Nick and attempts to discredit him. Trask calls Marge to the stand and Sami panics. Marge talks up how Rafe and Joe were good friends. She gets crazed and thinks anyone who calls her husband crooked is nuts. Justin follows up and gets her talking. She brings up faked evidence and Justin acts surprised. He leads her into telling the jury about the money found in Timmy's account, and then asks if Bernardi wasn't crooked, how did the money end up in there?
