You've Got Your Big Purse.

At the cafe, Adrienne doesn't react well when Sonny tells her he's interested in Will. Adrienne says he's sweet, but he comes with a lot of baggage. Sonny protests. She tells him he's making excuses for Will, and he counters that she does the same about Victor. Adrienne acknowledges it, and says that's why she hoped Sonny would choose a less complicated route. Sonny gently says she must stay out of his love life. Adrienne apologizes. Sonny tells her Will's not interested in him anyway. She says that's Will's loss. Later, Will enters and as he's trying to tell Sonny he likes him, Chad interrupts to share his engagement news. He asks if they'll stand up for him, but then leaves abruptly when Will mentions Gabi. Will takes another shot at talking to Sonny, but the phone rings. After the call, Will tells him that neither of them have a love life for the same reason - they've more in common than they thought.

Reminds Me Of Philip.

Back at the coffee house, Adrienne sees Daniel and brings up Chad being a good business partner to her son even though he's a DiMera. Daniel gives her his condolences for her brother's death. Later, EJ walks in and orders daffodils. He talks to Justin about Nicole again until Billie barges in to ask if he's still interested in Nicole. EJ isn't interested in confiding in Billie. He's tying up legal loose ends. She asks who the daffodils are for but he doesn't answer. He leaves and Adrienne talks to Sonny about meeting a boy. He tells her he's interested in Will, and her face falls.

Never Gonna Work.

Adrienne talks to Sonny at the cafe about his fight. He says he's okay. Sonny's friend, Brian, comes over and awkwardness ensues briefly. Adrienne goes off to read her book after telling Sonny his friend seems nice. Sonny joins Brian, who says he'll wear him down by getting on his family's good side. Victor enters and expresses condolences to Adrienne. He goes over to Sonny, who introduces him to Brian. Once alone, Victor tells Sonny he's glad he held his own in the fight, and says Brian is a good-looking young man. Later, Sonny hesitates when Brian produces show tickets. Brian tells him to do something about Will or he'll lose out.

Will and EJ meet in the square. Will asks about Stefano, and EJ being a DiMera again. EJ says he's his own man. Will feels the same way and tells EJ he can't work for him anymore. EJ says he's come to appreciate Will as a friend. EJ tells him he wants to get back with Sami. Will blurts, "That's never gonna work." He talks about Sami's failed relationships, and asks EJ why he thinks this time will be any different. Will leaves and runs into Adrienne, who tells him Sonny is with Brian - she's glad Sonny has someone in his life. After, Will ignores a call from Sonny. Meanwhile, Billie joins EJ, and tells him he got very lucky - so why does he look so miserable?

I Killed Him!

In the ballroom, Jennifer gently explains to Adrienne and Justin that Jack died tonight. Adrienne bawls with sorrow and disbelief. Nearby, Julie overhears and her jaw drops as Abigail says Jack died a hero. Julie goes to Jenn for a hug and they reminisce about dancing with Jack and working with him at the paper. "Dad was always his biggest friend. They're together now," Julie says, breaking down.

Cameron turns up at the pub to relieve Kayla but she has it under control. Jenn, Abigail, Julie, Adrienne and Justin arrive. Kayla worries Jack's hurt. Julie tells them Jack died tonight. They'd like to find out where his remains are. Kayla and Adrienne run to call Steve and Jenn calls JJ. Cameron consoles Abigail who will never accept what happened tonight. Calls are made to family and Kayla says Steve is devastated. They learn Jack's body is at the morgue at the hospital. Justin hands her Jack's personal effects which consist of a pen, notepad and wallet with an old 80s photo of the couple, his cell phone, car keys and ring. Jenn weeps.

A Toast To SOBs.

Justin and Adrienne arrive at the fundraiser site and find Jenn. She asks, "Didn't you come with Jack?" Jenn tells her he's gone - she's so sorry. The trio embrace.

A Watched Phone Never Rings.

It's the opening of Sonny's coffee house, The Coffee Bean. Sonny thanks everyone for attending, including Victor and Maggie, Justin and Adrienne. Victor's not happy to see Chad there, considering he sees him as a member of the DiMera family. Adrienne makes a toast and Sonny mentions his mystery investor, saying that it's their wish to remain anonymous. Pissed, Chad assumes it's his father and Victor, who has overheard, gets after Sonny for getting involved with the DiMeras. Justin is quick to offer to find a loophole in the contract but Sonny assures his father he knows what he's doing and it's nothing to do with the DiMera family. Victor receives an update from Daniel on Bo. There's no change. Maggie comforts him.

A Dog With A Bone.

Austin bumps into Abby at the square. He's nervous. It's his first day of teaching. Abby walks him to his office, since he seems to be turned around. Nearby, Sonny's glad Will hasn't left town yet. Will gets philosophical about staying in Salem. He's tired of being good little Will. Adrienne strolls by on her way to meeting Justin. She's proud of what he's doing with the cafe. After she goes, Will says he envies Sonny's relationship with his parents. Justin stops by and encourages his son with his ideas about the coffee house. Sonny takes off and Justin thanks Will for working with Sonny on this new endeavor. Will comments that not all parents would be so accepting of Sonny's sexual orientation. Justin says there's nothing to accept. He wants Sonny to fall in love with someone who makes him happy. Besides, he and Adrienne wouldn't change one thing about Sonny. This makes Will grin.

To Alice: A Symbol Of Our Bond.

Back at the pub, Roman is assured by the family that everyone's safe and unharmed. More shots ring through and Roman yells to stay down. Sami screams to make it stop.
