The Kiriakis Curse!

Stephanie is with Philip in the pub and asks him to tell her why he's so upset with himself! When she gets a hostile response, it only heightens her suspicions. He claims to have had a fight with his father, adding that it's none of her business. Stephanie probes more, saying if he screws up his marriage, Melanie will fall right back into the arms of Nathan! Philip walks out. Adrienne appears, and Stephanie tells her something is definitely wrong and she's afraid to find out what it is, noting that Philip always messes up with women. Adrienne sighs, "The Kiriakis curse." Stephanie tells her no one is going to come between her and her happiness! She talks about needing Nathan to really move forward and commit. They move outside and Adrienne tells her to just be herself. They say goodbye, and Stephanie takes out her birth control pills and gets a thoughtful look on her face!

A Huge Mistake!

At the Cheatin’ Heart, Stephanie tells Nathan that she’s enjoying their date and Nathan says that’s because Melanie isn’t there. He tells her that Melanie made it clear that she’s going to be with Philip. Nathan insists he’s completely over her and he’s concentrating on Stephanie. Adrienne interrupts and Nathan asks how Justin is, and Adrienne sighs that he’s probably fine. Nathan goes to get more drinks and Stephanie excitedly tells Adrienne that everything’s worked out for her and Nathan. Stephanie asks about Justin but Adrienne says there’s nothing left for them. Nathan returns but takes a phone call from the hospital. Stephanie says to Adrienne, without a doubt, “He’s the one.” Adrienne dismisses Stephanie’s remark that she and Justin are soul mates. Nathan returns and apologizes that he has to get to the hospital. He kisses Stephanie goodbye. A smitten Stephanie approaches Adrienne and says that even though Nathan doesn’t love her the same way, he’s heading in that direction.

The Gorge Rises.

Hope is frazzled at SPD when Abe arrives and says Roman questioned the DA again, finally admitted he didn’t hear Rafe the night of the attack. Hope is disgusted, thinking the DA purposefully lied in his police statement. She waves her arms and winds up spilling coffee. Abe can see she’s overwhelmed and considers taking her off the case. She begs him not to. It’s the one good thing she has going for her right now. Adrienne waltzes up and wonders why that is. Abe asks Adrienne how Justin is. Hope answers, saying he’s fine. She just spoke with him. Abe leaves and Adrienne is jealous about Hope knowing more about Justin than her. Hope questions Adrienne about Justin’s attack and when Justin walks in, wondering why Adrienne’s still in Salem, Hope leaves them alone. They comment on how stressed Hope seems.

Adrienne and Justin wind up at Cheatin’ Heart, where Adrienne says she sold the bar, and the owner is going to change the name. Justin’s surprised but that’s not why Adrienne asked him there. She declares she’s glad she returned to Salem and discusses how much of a mess she was during their marriage. He was her rock and though he didn’t mind this, she doesn’t need to lean on him anymore and apologizes for not allowing him to lean on her.

Wait Until I Tell Brady.

Carly meets Adrienne at Cheatin’ Heart. She’s headed to Daniel’s place to pack up. Adrienne hands her the spare key and admits she’s looking forward to the company. She misses her boys and being married.

Justin and Hope share coffee at Java Café and discuss the mugging. He doesn’t recall much and when he’s ready to leave, Hope begs him to stay. She goes on a fishing expedition to find out if Adrienne and Justin are getting back together. He says it’s really over between them. Hope’s sorry to hear that but Justin doesn’t believe her and asks, "Are you really?" Noticing her frown, he thinks he must be seeing things. Hope hesitates and says he’s not seeing things. She was looking at him differently because of Ciara. Hope realizes how much a part of their lives he is. Justin says both of them lift his spirits when he’s around them. He has to go so they gaze at each other for a while and hem and haw about how they can pick up the conversation later. He leaves and Adrienne arrives looking for him. Hope says he went to work and apologizes again for asking her to return to Salem. She now realizes it was a mistake.

And I Thought I Was Insecure!

In the alley, Adrienne holds Justin while Philip calls 911. Justin calls Adrienne’s name as she cries.

Roman, Adrienne and Philip arrive with Justin, to the hospital. Nathan says it looks like Justin was hit from behind and has a concussion. Chad overhears this and tells his mother. They go to Roman and share their theory that the mugger is the same person who mugged Charles. Carly finds Adrienne and promises to look in on Justin for her. Adrienne’s thankful and apologizes for making Carly the scapegoat. Carly understands. Adrienne misses their friendship and says it’s lonely living in Kayla and Steve’s old place. They plan to have dinner.

Nearby, Chad and Madeline agree the two attacks are strange. Chad says that's not all that's strange...

At the nurse’s station, Nathan hopes Carly’s not concerned about him and Melanie anymore. He shares that he’s dating Stephanie and feels lucky. Carly’s happy to hear it, but stares at him, wondering why he felt the need to tell her.

Inside Justin’s room, he wakes up and Adrienne tells him what happened.

Nicole’s Baloney Has A First Name. It's B R A D Y!

Justin finds Adrienne at the Cheatin’ Heart bar. She tries to rehash Hope dragging her to Salem but he doesn’t want to. He’s still her lawyer and gives her real estate papers on the bar, surprised she’s considering selling. He thinks she should stay and run it. They decide to play pool. Adrienne mistakes their good times for something more and is hurt. She decides to move on with her life and sell the bar. She thinks Justin wants to use her to get Hope jealous. He denies this and she signs the paper and hands it over. Justin sighs and leaves. She starts to cry.

Once Justin’s outside, somebody watches him through some crates. Inside, Adrienne’s cleaning when she hears a noise. She dashes outside and finds Justin unconscious on the ground and yells his name. Blood seeps from his head.

Mary Poppin' Pills.

At Java Café, Steph tells Adrienne all about the letter and admits she’s ashamed that she kept it from Nathan and then lied about its contents. Adrienne’s disappointed. Steph knows what she did was selfish and says Nathan can never find out.
