As long as you're going to be here with Shawn, Claire won't be!" Just then, Shawn shows up at the loft, and right into the line of fire! Willow looks to Belle and to Shawn, yelling, "Don't worry. This will be the last visit!" She leaves with Belle close behind her, telling Shawn that Willow is unstable and she doesn't want her near Claire. They overhear Sami, Lucas and Will having a good time at their table, which makes Lexi a little on edge. Abe reminds Lexi that Sami doesn't feel guilt! She beats herself up over what she did to Carrie and Austin but would like to heave the champagne bottle at Sami's head! Lexie admits she has always felt as though she has had to work extra hard to prove that she isn't Tony or Stefano.

In Victor's office, (At Titan) Belle returns the $100,000 check, just as Shawn walks in telling "Take your check and shove it!" They both realize that they're there for the same thing. Victor explains he is trying to make amends, wants to be a part of Claire's life. He knows he has lied, but was trying to protect Philip. Shawn isn't letting him off so easily; counts, much to Victor's irritation. Victor retaliates by reminding his grandson of his struggle to get where he is. Shawn gets rude to his grandfather, telling him he'd shoot himself if he ends up like him! Victor asks for a few minutes so he can explain, "Then if you want to drive a race car through my house, you can!" They agree to listen, and he tells them both that he's honored to be a part of Claire's life. He wasn't able to be there for his kids and wants to give the love to Claire he wasn't able to give his children. He feels that Claire is his only link to Philip, now that Phil is gone. He has talked to detectives, private investigators, Interpol, etc. Anyone and everyone and nobody has seen Philip since he left JFK (airport). Victor gets emotional and leaves the room, while Shawn and Belle speculate as to whether Phil is okay. When he returns, Victor asks again to be a part of Claire's life. Belle decides to allow it, wanting Claire to always have Philip in her heart as well as Victor. He goes off again to a meeting while Belle knocks heads with Shawn, reminding him that she has been with Claire since day one, while he has spent time driving someone else's car through a house, and risking his life at sea to protect a prostitute. She doesn't trust him. Shawn realizes he has disappointed her and he has straightened himself out. He shares news about his new job, and is finding a place to live. He tries to impress her, hoping she'll relent, and allow Claire to spend time with her. He gives her a wad of cash for Claire- his first child care payment! She's shocked at the amount of money he gives her, and he lies that the job is 'just mechanic stuff'. She is impressed that he'll give this to her weekly. She is a little envious as she just realized she too needs a job. Shawn comforts her, telling her that she is a good mother, and it's all she needs to be right now. Shawn explains Willow had a rough childhood. Belle understands but says she doesn't want her daughter around 'that'. He agrees it is not a problem, and Victor shows up, asking what the verdict is. She has agreed to allow him access to Claire. They leave, and Belle is happy that Claire will be able to be in his life now.

First thing he wants to do is to get an apartment with a nursery. Willow asks if there will be room for her there. Shawn balks. He hasn't thought about them living together long term. She jumps the gun, thinking he can't live with an ex-hooker, and doesn't let him explain that this isn't the reason. He doesn't want to think about the future at the moment, but she tells him she just wants a place to live - someplace better than this. She apologizes for manipulating him with her sob story and then he takes pity on her, telling her that he'll look for a place for them both. She jumps on him, happy and smiling. She will ensure he won't forget it, she promises!

Shawn arrives at Chez Rouge, bumping into Mimi. She fakes that she is happy to hear that he's moving in with Willow. He tells her it's not definite yet and is there to ask Willow if she needs a ride home, later. Mimi runs off and Willow encourages him to open the envelope, and her eyes pop out when she sees it's a check for $10,000. She gets excited, telling them they can buy a house now! Shawn tells her to relax. He's not taking the money, after what Victor pulled on him. Mimi overhears, behind the fireplace.

Patrick relaxes, takes out $500 of a big locked box full of money and gives it to Shawn an incentive. Mimi, (who has just moved in) watches from the front door, curious. As Shawn leaves, she asks why her brother gave him all that money, but all he says is that it's for a job, and dashes off.

Mimi sticks around, watching her brother put the key to the locked box in a drawer. Mimi asks Patrick why he gave Shawn the money, and most importantly, where is all his money coming from? He tells her it's from stocks, and he has nothing to hide.

Back at the hospital, Max meets with Shawn, asking him to come back to the shop. Shawn is thankful but he has already gotten another job, explains how he is working for E.J. Wells. He flashes Max a wad of money and leave. Leaving the hospital, he bumps into Victor who stops him, asking to talk. Shawn is bitter, when Victor offers his help, he tells him he doesn't need his money, sympathy or anything. "You are no longer my grandfather," he spits out. "You mean absolutely nothing to me!"

    "Silent Partner"

    Thursday, November 02 2006

At Chez Rouge, E.J. meets with Shawn, telling him that Shawn doesn't need to sell himself to him as a mechanic. His work speaks volumes; however he has no position for him at this time. He does, however, have a position for him that will need the utmost discretion. Shawn looks intrigued when E.J. says, "If you do take it, you mustn't tell anyone about it, not even your father! Shawn promises he can be trusted, and E.J. tells him that this involves Mythic Communication. He doesn't want anyone to know, because it's secretive, and doesn't want to get the competition a tip. He's asking him to deliver sealed documents to his "silent partner". Shawn agrees to be available 24 hours a day and will be paid well for it. He is told that Patrick Lockhart is the partner, but is undeterred, especially when he hears the price - $500 for each assignment, with several assignments per day! E.J. asks Shawn to tell anyone that he's a consultant with him about his garage, and Shawn promises not to let him down, leaving to take the package to Patrick.

The doctors work on Kayla, at the hospital while the family looks on, mortified. The blinds are pulled, and Stephanie starts to cry more, asking Bo if everything is going to be okay. Bo promises that the doctors are doing everything they can. After stabilizing her, the doctor explains that Kayla had an allergy to the drug. Their researchers are talking to the FDA, but only have 48 hours to save her. They're doing all they can, but the family is not taking it well. The family is encouraged to leave, with Billie as there is nothing they can do for them. Billie tells Steve she'll be back later, while Bo and Hope stick around. Hope is afraid for poor Steve, who seems so distant but Bo reminds her that he's probably just numb. She asks that he talk to Steve, but makes a good point that Steve has always listened to her, so she agrees to talk to him. She calls him over to the window, speaking through an intercom system. She asks how he's doing, and he's emotional, telling her, "A lot better than Kayla." He thinks that it should be him not well, and Kayla standing there. He doesn't know what to do, and starts to cry, telling Hope that he would fall in love with Kayla if he could. Hope is saddened more, telling him that he's her friend as much as Kayla is. He asks her to do him a favor - Billie has been a good friend to her, he wants her to buy her a nice gift from Steve. Hope doesn't want to but does it for him anyway.

Steve tells Kayla to hang in there, because a lot of people need her. Shawn shows up, asking about Kayla and Steve. They relay the news and he's upset, agreeing to go see Stephanie and give her his support. Before he goes, he tells them that he got a new job, working for E.J. Wells! Both parents are shocked! Hope is proud of him, but Bo has reservations. Hope goes off on an errand while Bo asks for more information about his job. Shawn explains that E.J. has a lot of cars, and then shrugs. Bo's happy Shawn took the initiative to get a job but wonders if he would rather work with Max. Bo tells him that E.J. associates with disreputable people, but he can't say who. Shawn asks if E.J. is doing something illegal, but Bo says that he's working on finding this out. It's not good enough for Shawn, so Bo grabs him, asking that he watch his back.
