    Up in smoke!

    Thursday, December 14 2006

At Shawn's loft, Willow happily decorates a small Christmas tree. Her happiness is short lived when Shawn walks in and grabs one of the ornaments she's about to hang and right away tells her that it's over between them. He explains that he needs this loft to himself, and tells her they're through; this was never meant to be forever! She begins to cry and asks him what she's supposed to do now? She explains that this was a big deal to her, and lashes out at both Shawn and Belle. She cries that he needs to live on the edge - fast women and fast cars and Belle isn't for him. He reminds her that she doesn't even really know him, and that this was a rebound relationship after his divorce from Mimi. He tells Willow, "I'm sorry. Belle is the one I want." Willow continues her rant and yells at him not to come crying back to her. She storms off to the bedroom to pack.

At Chez Rouge, Shawn waits for EJ to arrive. Shawn tells him, "I can't work for you anymore." He goes on to tell EJ that he's not comfortable with the job, and that if his dad thinks that EJ may be into something sketchy then he would rather not be a part of it. EJ asks him if he listens to everything his 'daddy' says but Shawn retorts, "If you weren't doing something sketchy, you'd tell me what was in those envelopes!" He just thinks that it's time to move on and further explains that it's hard to see Patrick this often. He hates him. He tells EJ, "I think it's best if I just stop working for you." EJ shows him documents from inside Patrick's envelope, but Shawn sticks to his guns and tells him he quits. He gets up to leave but EJ demands that he "Sit down." He tells EJ that Shawn is weak just like his dad, and that's why he sat down just now! He asks Shawn to keep things confidential about their work. Shawn agrees to this but tells him, "If I find out that my dad is right and you're dirty, I'm going to tell him everything I know!" He leaves. EJ sits and drinks then tears up the documents that he showed Shawn.

Willow arrives back at the loft in tears. She throws a tantrum and starts throwing Shawn's stuff around the loft. She gets some of Shawn's clothes and says, "You want to end this Shawn? Alright, let's end this!" She gets some alcohol from the cupboard, takes a drink and empties the rest on to his clothes. She strikes a match and the whole thing is set on fire. Shawn comes home at that moment to find smoke billowing from under the door, and the chain on the door. He yells for Willow, "Willow, can you hear me? Are you in there?"

Kate gets the surprise of her life!

    Tuesday, December 12 2006

At Chez Rouge, Belle, Shawn, Victor and Claire dine. Shawn tells Victor that he and Belle have decided to work things out, for Claire's sake. They share their thoughts that it is best to cut back on Victor's visits with Claire in the immediate future, just until she gets used to having Shawn around. They want to work on bonding as a family. Victor doesn't take this well and is quick to anger. Belle tries to comfort him, but Shawn isn't so comforting. He reminds Victor that he is lucky he sees Claire as it is. Shawn and Belle are shocked as Victor harshly tells the pair that they're not fit to be parents. "I'm the one stable influence in Claire's life!" he declares. He refuses to go away quietly and tells the two that Claire stands to inherit a lot of money, and thinks that he is the only chance that she has to have a future. Shawn stands up for he and Belle, explaining that he and Belle are Claire's parents and they will decide her future. "We'll see about that," Victor promises. As they talk, Kate arrives at Chez Rouge and asks the hostess for help getting a note to Victor, as she can see that he is busy with Shawn and Belle. The hostess gives her Victor's coat and Kate slips a note into Victor's pocket and secretly pulls out his house keys! "We'll see what secrets you've been keeping from me," she says to herself. After Kate leaves (un-noticed), Belle takes Claire to show her the Christmas tree, while Shawn talks to Victor to ask him to back off. Victor tells Shawn he'll never be half the father that Philip was, and promises that he will regret this! Victor leaves, angry but stops when he finds that he has no house keys! He talks to the hostess, who explains that Kate left him a note. It's in Kate's handwriting and reads, "I know all about Philip." Belle comes back to the table, and is shocked when she finds out that Victor is after Shawn! Shawn promises to make Belle proud, but she tells him that he already has!

Shawn to Belle, "I love you."

    Monday, December 11 2006

Willow tells Belle that if she had known she was coming she would have picked up some steaks for the three of them. A confused Belle asks Shawn if she's living there. Belle and Shawn are still in shock by Willow's presence and don't say a word. Willow lashes out at Belle the truth about she and Shawn living together, and sharing a bed together. A hurt Belle looks to Shawn, then leaves. Shawn pounces on Willow, accusing her of eavesdropping and then telling Belle the truth just to hurt her. Willow denies it but he knows that she had to have heard him, as he was about to come clean with the truth about Willow living there. Willow starts to cry, and says "The truth is, you want Belle back and me out of the picture!" He doesn't answer her, and when she asks if they have a good time in bed together, he tells her that sex isn't all that there is to a relationship. She makes him feel guilty when she tells him that she wouldn't know. This is her first relationship. Willow is honest with Shawn. She cries as she tells him that she was so worried she'd lose him. He doesn't care. He is angry and takes his coat and leaves, to go do some thinking.

At the Brady homestead, Bo has a bag packed. He tells Hope that he can't live with someone who doesn't trust him. Hope stops him, and tells him that he knows that he is innocent. "You were right," she says. She does trust him; knows that he didn't beat up Patrick and wants him to stay! She tells him that she knows that he is not capable of what Patrick led her to believe, she explains. She apologizes to him, and he looks to Zack's photo, saying that she had a right to think of him as a monster. He again apologizes to her for what happened with Zack. She apologizes to him, and says that what counts is what they do now. She asks him to bring his suitcase back upstairs, "Please stay?!" Hope asks. He tells Hope that he found out about the kidnapper who took Claire, and Hope fears for his safety. Belle arrives home crying. Hope hugs her and asks what is wrong. She is disappointed and doesn't want to allow Claire to stay with Shawn if he stays with Willow. Shawn shows up on his parent's doorstep, asking to talk. He tells her that Willow doesn't prostitute herself anymore, and he trusts her. She accepts him for who he is and Belle cuts him off and tells him that she knows. He hasn't been able to trust anyone, since her! Belle starts to cry when Shawn reminds her of their past together. She tells him that she used to hear he and Mimi talking through the air vent, and she used to cry herself to sleep because she wished she was with him. She never told him, because she was married and then she realizes that she and Willow aren't that different. "I shouldn't judge her." She asks if he is in love with Willow, but he holds her arms and tells her he cares for Willow but is not in love with her. He can prove it by telling her to move out, he says. She tells him that who he lives with doesn't have anything to do with what kind of father he is, so if he really wants to be with Willow, she will make it work. Shawn tells her he has been meaning to end things with Willow because "I love you," he says. Belle has tears in her eyes as she listens.

    Steve Remembers!!

At the loft, Shawn tells Willow that he is upset that he never seems to be there when Claire needs him. He wants to come clean with Belle about what he is doing and wants to be there for Claire more. Willow becomes controlling, and doesn't think he should tell Belle anything and goes off to work, telling him to take some time to relax and after she is done her shift they can go for a ride in the convertible.

Belle arrives on Shawn's doorstep to apologize for not letting him spend time with Claire. He understands that she wants to take care of Claire, but she insists that the issue is not him. He asks if the issue is Willow. She doesn't completely blame Willow and admits that this goes back to when they promised they would always be best friends. She tells him that this all changed when he married Mimi. When he told her that they didn't have a future together, she put up a wall so that he couldn't hurt her anymore. Shawn asks her to take the wall down now, because Mimi and he are over. She says that she would but now he has turned to Willow. We see Willow eavesdropping outside the door. He starts to tell her about his job and how his dad thinks that EJ is into something illegal but he isn't so sure. He starts to tell her about something else he has not been completely honest about, but Willow takes this opportunity to come into the loft, asking Shawn to go on that 'romantic drive', now. This confuses Belle.

I want her to have my child.

    Wednesday, December 06 2006

At Hudson Street Diner, Belle cries when she sees the item that Bo found in the street. Jessie Faraday walks in (the man who made a fuss over Claire yesterday) and Bo grabs him. Roman pulls his gun and they take him outside to question him. Jessie tells them that he came back to the diner to see how Belle was, because he was concerned for Claire. Hope worries that Shawn won't get to see his daughter again. She comments that he's on his way over. Roman wonders why nobody has contacted them with a ransom note, and Victor offers $50,000 to whoever can bring Claire back. Shawn arrives, fuming. "How could you let this happen?" he asks Belle. Sami runs into the diner, and hugs Belle to her. Victor asks Shawn to stay with Belle, but Shawn doesn't think she wants him around. Shawn apologizes to Belle for what he said to her.

The red-haired woman has Claire in her car. She tells Claire she's a good little girl and explains to Claire that she once had a daughter but had to give her up when she was sent to jail. She takes a phone call. "Don't worry. I know what to do." She promises.

Later, at Hudson Street Diner, Sami and Shawn are interrupted by Roman, who is carrying Claire. He is followed by the red-haired lady - in cuffs! The lady lies when she explains that she found Claire in her car and was bringing her back to the diner. The police believe her story and agree to let her go.
