    At the cemetery, Bo and Hope discuss the service and those who spoke, saying everyone had many great memories. Doug, Julie and Marie chat nearby while Abe and Lexi think it’s a shame Theo couldn’t be there. Kayla learns he’s in public school and is happy. Nearby, Lucas hugs Carrie while holding Allie and Carrie kisses Julie and Doug. Nearby, Kimberly chats up Caroline and Bo while Jennifer decides it’s time to start things off. Justin goes to Hope to lend support. Bo, Kimberly and Caroline watch as Justin hugs Hope and Caroline thinks Hope should be in his arms. Caroline tells the family that she turned to Alice when things got rough. Julie admits Gran didn’t always approve of her life choices but she never stopped loving her. Doug calls Alice fair and great. Maggie cries and remembers how Alice taught her to try harder. Lucas remembers Alice helped him through finding out he was a Horton. She was like royalty to him and finding out she was his flesh and blood was intimidating, exciting and rewarding. Melissa shares an anecdote about Alice that makes everyone laugh. Nathan says Alice always made them feel loved. Bo says Alice taught them to live their life with integrity and humor and encouraged him to do what was right. Jennifer goes from Melissa to Laura and Bill and says, "Here’s to your next adventure, Gran." Shane shows up and Hope finds herself at a loss for words. Everyone’s suddenly holding yellow roses as Hope says she was the woman she hoped she could be. Ciara watches as Hope cries and calls Gran a friend. Hope knows Gran will look after them for the rest of the days of their lives. A photo montage is shown and Lucas places a photo of Tom in a larger one of Alice, over the casket which is filled with beautiful yellow roses. The family wipes their tears away and places roses on Alice’s casket. Ciara goes off with Doug and Julie and Kimberly gets upset when she sees Shane.

    Hope cries in Alice's kitchen, wondering who she’ll turn to now. Doug offers his shoulder, wishing he could be as much comfort as Alice was when Hope’s mother Addie died. Alice had said life was a transition and that life never really ends.

    In the living room, Jennifer tells Julie that Alice planned the service with Mickey. Julie reminisces about Alice discussing custody of her son. Abe arrives with his condolences for Jennifer and Julie. He can’t imagine life without Alice.

    Hope and Doug discuss her marriage to Bo at the pier. Hope says Alice was one of their biggest supporters and wanted them to work at things. Doug admits that Alice told him she thought they’d find their way back to one another. “My money is on Bo and Hope,” Alice told him. He smiles and thinks there could be something to it.

    In the living room, Doug tells Julie he’s doing as well as to be expected. She hands him Alice’s bible. She had it with her when she died and they plan to read from it. Alice’s voice is heard saying, "And as long as this family gathers together to touch and share and laugh and remember, and as long as our hearts and arms are open to new friends, new loves, then we have everything a human being can hope for in this life and it never ends." Jennifer and Hope go into the room and they all join hands.

    Doug tries to get Julie to eat at Alice’s place, but she’s too sad. Alice has always been their rock. Julie flashes back to Alice telling her that she’ll always have a home with them. Julie isn’t ready to say goodbye. They hold each other as they cry. Sami, Sydney and Will show up and as Will goes to see Alice, Sami and Julie discuss Sami and Will’s argument. Julie thinks Sami is making a big mistake staying at the mansion with EJ who she calls an amoral pompous jerk and a criminal. Sami explains her reasoning and Julie asks how Rafe feels about this. Sami says they’re through. Julie calls EJ a rebound but Sami says they’re not romantic.

    In the living room, Doug and Will discuss Will’s poor grades in school and his living arrangements. Will thinks Stefano must have mellowed over the years. Doug gasps as Will claims Stefano’s a pretty cool guy!

    Back in the kitchen, Sami didn’t ask for Julie’s help and doesn’t want it. She asks for respect. Julie knows all about being a single parent but thought Sami had the backbone to handle single parenting on her own. Sami defends herself and says EJ has been supportive. Julie apologizes for her judgment and says Sami reminds her of herself.

    Mickey’s funeral is over and Hope hugs Maggie while Julie comments that Alice is in the den visiting with Bill and Marie. Doug wonders where Bo is. Maggie gets the door to Melissa, who is in tears about missing the funeral. They hug and later, EJ shows up. Brady tells him he doesn't belong there. EJ wanted to give his condolences. Mickey was a good man. Hope thanks him and hopes Sydney will soon be returned to him.

    Mia and Melanie bring flowers from the funeral to the hospital while Bo arrives at Maggie’s place with Alice’s medication. He is ready to leave when Hope says he can stay if he likes. Doug and Julie leave the room and Bo apologizes for hurting Hope. Hope calls herself a fool. She thought she had time to think. She knows she comes off as self-righteous when she’s upset, but she takes half the blame. Still, she feels like there’s no going back now. Later, Hope remembers Zach’s funeral and they hug. Justin interrupts with an apology for missing the funeral. Uncomfortable, Bo leaves to give them privacy. Hope tries to stop him.

    In the living room, Melissa meets Stephanie but mistakes her for Melanie. She’s embarrassed but Stephanie doesn’t mind. Maggie interrupts to take Nathan to see Aunt Sarah. Melissa takes the opportunity to apologize to Stephanie again. She should have known Stephanie wasn’t Melanie. "My mother told me Melanie was a bit of a troubled soul, and clearly that’s not you." Maggie and Nathan return and Nathan is happy to learn that his grandfather got his last arrest record expunged. Melissa overhears this. "Jail?" She’s upset, but Nathan makes light of it. "Both times were so stupid." Melissa is not happy to find Melanie was involved but Nathan points out that they’re through anyway. Melissa’s worried about her son and hugs him.

    Back at Maggie’s place, the family is seated in the living room. Each member has something pleasant to say about Mickey. Julie says everyone’s a better person for having known Mickey Horton. Hope shares a story about the last time he visited with Ciara, who thought he was the kindest man in the world. Nathan talks about how Mickey used to visit them in Nashville and tell them stories about his love for Maggie. He hopes he can meet somebody he can love that much one day. Melissa talks about her parent’s unconditional love and how lucky she is. Melanie tells everyone Mickey was away a lot, so they didn’t know each other that well, but he was smart. He chose the most caring and generous woman in the world to share his life with. Melanie hopes she is like Maggie when she grows up. Maggie thanks everybody and reminisces about living on the farm when a handsome stranger came to them. The scene is shown in a flashback and Maggie thanks them all for lifting her spirits today and always. Doug raises his glass to Mickey. Later, Julie, Doug, Hope, Nathan, Stephanie and Melissa leave and Maggie stays behind to reminisce. She flashes back to marrying Mickey, spending Christmas with him and struggles not to cry as she kisses Mickey’s photo goodbye.

    Later, in the kitchen, Melanie cries as she looks through a photo album.

    Bo and Carly make out and Carly professes her love. Hope calls and Carly urges him to take the call. It may be about Ciara. Bo answers, but it’s a bad time. Can he return her call, later? Half in tears, Hope says it’s important and asks where he is.

    Later, Hope is crying when she tells Bo that Mickey’s dead. He tells her he’s on his way to Maggie’s place and Hope asks for a favor. She’d like him pick her up at the pub and take her to Mickey’s office and then to Maggie’s place. After they hang up, Bo relays the news to Carly. "Hope needs me." He dresses and apologizes. Carly is there if he needs her. They hug and Carly feels bad for Maggie. Bo says he’ll call with an update, later. After he leaves, Carly pulls out a photo of her daughter as a child. "You're just too young to go through this alone."

    Back at the pub, Doug and Hope discuss Mickey. Hope can’t go to Uncle Mickey’s office without Bo, to file the separation papers. Doug tells her not to do anything that can’t be undone. Hope thinks with Bo, it’s too late. Doug feels for them. Hope chastises herself for moving out on Bo. Doug thinks there’s still time to fix their relationship. They should take their time. Hope thinks maybe all she needs to do is go home. Doug leaves and Bo arrives and hugs Hope. She asks if they can sit at the pub for a while. She’s not ready to face her family. She tells him how she discussed their issues with her dad and is about to tell Bo she wants to come home when a woman stops and asks if he got Dr. Manning home alright this morning. Hope assumes that’s where he was and why he couldn’t talk. "You slept with her, didn’t you?" Bo says nothing. She decides to go to Maggie’s by herself, saying it’s time she starts getting used to doing things alone.
