    From the mansion, Victor calls Kate and demands she get over there. Once she arrives, Victor asks her to take over at MadWorld. That reporter who called her was right - Adrienne was cheating with Lucas. Kate acts shocked and outraged and Victor starts to laugh. He tells her just to accept the job. He knows she orchestrated this. Kate acts indignant. "I would never sabotage my own son." Victor offers to look elsewhere for Lucas' replacement and she tells him to do whatever is necessary for his business. Victor tells her she starts tomorrow and brings Lucas in. Kate tries to defend her behavior but Lucas is hurt that his job meant more to her than he does. She tells him she'll get him a job but he's not interested. He quietly says he should have learned his lesson by now. He's not even mad. He's finally free of her. She sobs as he walks out.

    At the Edge, Kate fakes a call from a reporter. She claims she'll see them in court if they print the slander about Adrienne Kiriakis and her son. When Victor questions her, she tells how angry she is that there's a rumor going around that Adrienne and Lucas are an item. Clyde texts that he's late and Victor comments, "Those tractors do break down." Rafe takes Victor away to let him know Hope's closing in on Clyde's business. Later, Rafe goes to Kate asking what the hell she's doing with the likes of Clyde Weston. "He's not urban enough for you?" Rafe calls him dangerous. She finds that appealing.

    Lucas arrives at the Kiriakis mansion. He couldn't stay away and plants a kiss on Adrienne. She worries someone will find out. Lucas reveals Kate knows but he trusts that she'll keep her mouth shut since she's so devoted to Will. They kiss and wind up making love in her bed. Victor arrives home and knocks on Adrienne's door. He calls out to Adrienne wanting to speak to her. She tells him she'll be a minute. He says that's fine. "Oh and Lucas, you're fired."

    At the Kiriakis manse, Daniel asks if Victor sent Xander to Salem to mess with his relationship with Nicole. Victor denies this and tells him Xander's in town on business. Daniel's glad to hear he turned his life around. Victor's silent.

    Brady goes to Victor's for information and a promise of confidentiality. He knows he keeps tabs on people and needs to find Kristen. Brady promises he still hates Kristen but needs to see her in person. Victor's concerned but tells him she's in Italy. Victor wants to send back-up but Brady doesn't want that. Victor tells him to be safe and Brady takes off. Later, Victor takes Xander's call and they discuss a business deal before Victor warns him to stay away from Nicole, calling her trouble. They hang up and Xander mutters, "I like trouble."

    At the Kiriakis manse, Victor greets his nephew, Alexandros Kiriakis who tells him he owes him his life. Victor asks if he's keeping his nose clean or at least keeping up appearances. He is. They talk about Xander's laundering scheme.

    Back at Victor's, Brady and Xander are reintroduced. Brady remembers the sleepaway camp he, Philip and Xander were at. Xander comments that he was like a big brother. Brady asks why he left camp early and Victor blurts that Xander got into trouble. Xander says he was nothing like Brady or Daniel who could do no wrong in Vic's eyes... Once he goes, Victor tells Brady he likes to keep Xander at a distance. He was involved in a murder which was knocked down to assault and battery but he's a different man now.

    Will is dragged to the Kiriakis compound where Victor shows him an article in the Spectator about Will cheating on Sonny with Paul. Will doesn't seem fazed until he notices they published a photo of Sonny and Paul with a caption about their first anniversary instead of Sonny and Will. Victor's pissed that the photo upset Will more than the story of his infidelity. He says Sonny does everything to make Will happy. They've the same goals because everything Will does is also to make Will happy. Will says he wants to make things right with Sonny but the problem is Paul Narita. "Oh my God, you're a clone of your mother. Everything you do is somebody else's fault." Will stammers. Victor threatens him not to hurt Sonny again and tells him to keep his mouth shut about this visit. Will goes and Xander arrives. "It's been too long uncle." Victor welcomes Alexandros home.

    At The Edge, Kate tells Clyde she's still licking her wounds from Stefano taking everything from her. Clyde thinks Victor can help her bounce back. At her table, Maggie calls Adrienne to invite her to an impromptu anniversary party for Sonny and Will. Maggie asks her to text Lucas. "He'll want to be on top of this. Adrienne grins and replies, "I'll make sure he's on top... of this!" She hangs up and bursts into laughter as Rafe contacts Lucas for the same reason. Later, Kate sits with Maggie who invites her to the anniversary party. Clyde takes Victor to the bar for a drink and calls Victor a man of his word. Victor claims he has enjoyed spending more time with family. Clyde suggests he put Kate to work for him. Later when they’re alone, Maggie comments to Victor that she knows he's been playing possum to Clyde.

    At home, Victor calls Will Sami Brady’s son and says Sonny’s too good for him.
